Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

I noticed this recently, and it really bothers me as well. "Otto" and "Porter" both work just fine, but I know a lot of people insist on referring to players by their initials, which will lead to confusion in this case. Hopefully we can all agree to stick to his real names haha.

I'm going with OP2 or OPDos because they're fun to say. But Otto works fine.

Does anybody remember how we referred to Oleksiy Pecherov back in the day? That might solve things.

Doc, what's the significance of the 2/dos?

If he turns into the efficient and consistent SF I'm hoping for, Ottomatic sounds pretty good. Not very flashy.

Booker sounded like a whiny b*tch on Twitter. Otto already said if someone had the number, he'd wear 22.

Yeah. We got the first w/ the #1 pick in 2010. And then, why, it only took us 10 other rookies to get the other 2....

Booker is easily the best big after Nene & Emeka on the team. He's needed if the Wiz cannot find a competent frontcourt player (and if they resign Martell, they have the LLE to do it).

Booker is a solid player, a terrific player in fact. His only problem has been staying healthy.

Your definition of "terrific" must be different from the Webster's dictionary version.

I'd say adequate would be the word I would be looking for.

Ideal backup PF is an appropriate definition of Booker when healthy. Which is why we should bring him back, unless we're acquiring a very good big man via trade or free agency, pushing Nene to the bench, thus making Booker expendable. Otherwise, bring him back on a small contract for like $2-3 million a year. Great value.

I don't see Booker as an ideal backup, only a passable one. And resigning Booker is a no go in my book. Too injury prone, terrible P/R defender, not a great fit skill wise. I could see keeping him into next season but along with 3rd guard, finding a stretch 4 to replace Booker, Vesely & Singleton are my biggest priorities.

Like RG3. But he's a Jr, not a 3rd. OP2.

Actually what'll probably happen at least to start is that he'll be frozen out of that #35, since I think Booker has it tattooed to his body, it'll be tough to pry it off his skin, is that Otto Porter will have to stick with his mom's number #22.

In that case I'll go with OP22 in shorthand.

Lol I'd rather just type Otto than OP22, which is difficult to type b/c of the numbers, and it doesn't even look good. Reminds me of R2D2, which I understand is probably a big positive for some of you haha.

Len is not that.
Though Dr. J, Darnell Hillman, and Artis Gilmore's fros got most of the attention, George C. Trapp's fro should be noted for its bouncy qualities.

Ah well, so Porter is the pick.

***polite cheers***

At least we know he'll maximize his potential, fit right in and continue to help with the culture. There are definitely worse things that could have happened. And if Phoenix red flagged the knee, I probably wouldn't have taken Noel either, so Porter was the best pick then.

Perhaps safe was the way to go in this draft. Porter plus Rice both look like NBA calibur wings, so we don't need Webster any more. We have solidified our 2-3 rotation for a good while, and probably should be focusing on our backup PG and another Big.

And clearly ticket sales will be picking up as the GTown crowd will be showing up. This is not a bad thing for an up and coming franchise. Perhaps this will translate into no more selling of second round picks.
