Hands, you mean we won by 4, right?

Thanks. You are correct. Won by 4. I fixed that.

Everyone needs to at least click on page one. Other paid the more serious price in posting to get us on page two. We have been spared that. But pain must be endured or the Love a Bulls will not respond in our hour of need.

No reason why we shouldn't beat them. Our players are better than theirs... plain and simple. We're a playoff team, they're not.

In before someone says were are playoffs in the East and Lottery in the West. Truth though
Is it game day yet. Wow those guys probably gained a few pounds since the long layoff.
Not feeling good about this one. But knowing this team they could win tonight and lose at home tomorrow to Det.

Well with so many days off, its hard to get a feel for where the team is right now. MIN hasn't played since Sunday. Wizards haven't played since Saturday. The first quarter could be rough.

But I agree. No telling what they look like. I usually take a positive spin on things but I also try to be a realist. I don't like the front court match up of Booker and Gortat against Pek and Love. I could easily see them getting crushed on offense and defense. And with MIN having the match up advantage there, I think that puts pressure on TA to hit that 3 ball. I expect Brewer to blanket him and close out hard to the 3 line forcing TA to put the ball on the floor more. That puts everything on Beal and Wall. Well Martin is 6-7 so Beal is going to have to dribble away from him to find that open mid range. He isn't going to get many wide open looks because we have no inside game advantage to start the offense. Not ideal. That leaves Wall. What will he do ? Will hit take a lot of open elbow shots ( expected he shoots them with Minny playing back but will they be falling ) or will he drive and try to get Love and Pek in foul trouble ? This is where a Tony Parker tear drop shoot would come in handy.

So if they start Wall, Beal, TA, Booker and Gortat, I think Minny actually matches up really well and it put most of the offense on Wall and Beal and of the two, mostly on Wall. This kind of match up is when I like our offense and this line up the least. If Wall is hot, we can crack their line up by hitting elbow shots. If not, we will look like total ass and struggle to score 20 pts in the first quarter.

One way to adjust to this is to except that Love is a mis match and make him play D. You can do that with a S4 line up of Wall, Beal, Webster, Trevor A and Gortat. They will get crushed on the boards but they will spread out MIN when on offense so we can rain 3s and Wall can drive. They can just trade points until we get better match ups against their 2nd unit. Another way to go is start Ves and hope Ves and Gortat's length can have some effect in the post. A 3rd option is to start Nene and Kevin instead of bringing them off the bench. Just flip the rotations. Nene and Kevin first. Ves or Booker with Gortat 2nd. That's a better match up.

Will Randy do any of these things. I doubt it. So it all rides on Wall and his elbow jumper. If it's there, we are in the game. If not, we will be down 8-12 pts at the 4 min mark of the first.

We can't start Booker this game. If we do, Kevin Love will do terrible things to him. I can see Randy doing something crazy like kicking off a 5 game stretch where Seraphin plays PF or Jan comes back into the mix.

This is a game where I'd like to see both Wall and Beal go absolutely HAM because i tell you we get no respect from the media. I mean yeah IND and POR are awesome teams, but we always seem to get shafted...

Would like to see Wall/Beal drop a combined 70 today >:0

Friday is here at last, I've been waiting to see my Wiz get back into action. Should be a good game, it'll be awesome to have a 4-0 road trip.

On another note, complete BS with our only nationally televised game being axed. Ok I understand it's two good teams playing, but at least give us a game somewhere else. The organization should make a complaint about this and at the very least I hope the squad uses it as motivation.

It's been so long I don't even remember what a John Wall iso to lose the game looks like anymore (just kidding :P).

As for the nationally televised game, we still have some games on NBATV (but I guess that doesn't count?). Plus ESPN could always flex us into a nationally televised game, but I have doubts about it. Oh well, we'll be nationally televised when we make the playoffs. :D :D :D

After a 3 game win streak, Wiz get fat and happy during a long break, come out sluggish and out of sync on the road, and get blown out by the Wolves. Hope I am wrong, but that is what I am feeling right now. Good news is that I think they bounce back tomorrow night and beat the Pistons at home.

Good fortune typically doesn't last for the Wizards. Fully expecting Nene to aggravate his foot injuries within 5 minutes of stepping onto the court.

What looked like an opportunity to go on a little run over the next 8 games, will likely turn into a 2-6, 3-5 affair starting with a loss tonight.

If Randy has anything to do with it. Yes. This is more likely then not. I will be happy if we survive this by splitting games or just under that.

The next 6 games could be brutal.

Then CHA, GS and Indy on the road.

This is when Randy needs to step up and be a top grade coach. If not, we need to get ride of him. Then is when you earn your money. This is when a team needs its coach to make the right moves. They have the players to win.

This is a moment you can define a season. It they ripe off off wins, they can gain steam and take the next step. Or they can muddle through and just be MEH. Or crash and burn and panic sets in.

Its all on the table.
