Home or road - exactly the same 22-19.

22-19 IS BAD AT HOME... BAD!!!

In 1978 we were 44-38. We couldn't win more games at home and still get this omen.

Specifically, I like that, by the end of the series (whoever wins), the refs will know that the team, and many players on the team (Wall, Beal, Nene, etc) have arrived. I hope that results in getting favorable calls, as they tend to do for "star" players. If we do progress further into the playoffs, then it will bode well for when we encounter other "star" players. Going against the DPOTY and a strong defensive team will do this/has done this for our team.

Very good points. I think those who poo-poo'd the value of merely reaching the
playoffs were mistaken. They might have been more correct if we had drawn a different
matchup, but CHI almost seems like the perfect matchup for the young'ins, Wall/Beal,
to get indoctrinated. Should we be fortunate enough to win the series, I think IND
would have some of the same issues with us that CHI is having, not enough offense,
unless in Indy's case, Paul George seriously wakes up and gets on a run.

The best thing for the Bulls to win is if the Wizards come out listless. One thing that the Bulls don't do enough of is create turnovers. Wiz are pretty turnover prone as a team. If they capitalized on the Wiz carelessness of the ball and created more turnovers (and converted) then they would have a chance. Bulls are a low scoring team not only because of a lack of superstars, but also they don't create enough possessions for themselves. They are gonna have to make the Wiz turn the ball over a lot to have a chance at winning.

I'm not sure that's right. And it's especially not right when we play well.
Our assist ratio is 7th best in the league. Our TO ratio is mid-pack at 13th.

So far in this series, they have been outstanding at protecting the ball.

Bulls are more adept at forcing bad shots than they are at forcing TOs which is
actually a more sound defensive philosophy. But their shooting has been woeful.

As Kev reminded me (and everyone else) the number one predictor stat for
who wins a given game is eFG% dif. We've handily won that in both games.

Ill be looking for Wall this next game to be the key. the bulls are going to key in on the bigs and as Nate said Beal isnt the best Home player. Wall will have that fire under him and he will probably be the thing that keeps us mentally in the game because knowing the bulls they are probably gonna come out even more physical and more desperate for a victory.

Good points all. Nice to see some multi-generational contributions. How are your pumpkin carving skills?

welcome from me as well, been trying to encourage Jacqui (my daughter) to post on here...but I digress.

slight disagreement with one thing -
I'm not sure Wall is the one ie only, guy that will keep us mentally in games. The whole
starting lineup seems quite well level headed and focused, esp Nene. Wall is no slacker
in that regard, but he doesn't necessarily stand out either. In one sense, he's our leader
by virtue of being the conductor of this orchestra as PG as well as the top player over
the whole season. But one reason we're winning so far is balance. We don't count on the
same guy from night to night.

Charlotte fans still salty over their predicament. They really hate us. They think we stole their shine.

Winning is fun. Lets keep winning.

Gotta salute Beal's intensity and commitment, Wall's confidence, Booker's intensity and commitment, Ariza's cool, Gortat's intensity and commitment (even when he doesn't have a good game), Nene's obvious pleasure -- Miller's too -- in what they're getting done.

Salute Wittman too. He is doing an outstanding job right now.

And that lone win cemented Chicago as he 4th seed. Wizards sill did what they needed to do to get the 6th seed, but blame the Nets for tanking and blame themselves for beating Chicago. Had Chicago won that game they would have had the 3rd seed.

They still think they're better than us...thus in their mind they would be up 2-0 as well.

Bulls would beat the Bobcats in 5 games. Bobcats aren't that talented of a team.

Maybe our FT shooting will improve being at home? Our atrocious rate at the line has been a godsend to the Bulls.

Yeah every time I've been on their boards, I've seen them taking unnecessary shots at us or our players.

I think they're mad because 1) Wall > Kemba and 2) MKG looks like a bust, at least at #2.. meanwhile Beal, Lillard, Drummond are shining

I mean geez Charlotte.. we're not even good enough to have a 'little brother' yet

Yeah. They think Wall is getting the attention that rightfully belongs to Kemba....since he is better than him afterall.

Why should the LOLcats fans hate us?

Logic requires that they hate the LOLcats for being so sucky that they finish with a worse record than those bums, the Wizards.

LOLcats are suck.

They're probably salty at life in general right now. They have to play 5-8 against the heat and then Big Al gets injured :/ Really gotta feel for that guy, he looked dominant now I semi cringe while watching him try to run and move in general

In case any LOLcats fans pops into this thread...

Perhaps if your team won more games, you'd be in a different position.

Yell at your team and voice your displeasure. Oh, and tell Lebron, Wade, and Bosh that the Wizards board said "hello and good luck."

Some a-hole Bulls fan has been threatening our players.

Why? C'mon man, this team is pretty solid against good teams at home.

Let's be optimistic and assume the best. :)

I expect a blow out.

I think that's a little unfair. Thibs can't work miracles. He doesn't have much talent on the roster. Thibs is now suffering from comparison to his overachieving regular season record. It doesn't make him a poor playoff coach. It's merely a manifestation of the fact that you can't scheme and trick your way through a playoff game like you can in the regular season

In the grand scheme of things, Chicago won only 48 games. Washington easily could have won 48 games this season, too.

Washington won the season series, 2-1, over Chicago.

Wall averaged in the regular season 21 points, 9 assists against Chicago.

Wall is going to break out in Washington.

Washington WILL win the series in 4 or 5 games IMO.
