Morris' EFG% is 49%; that's not good at all for a big. So his "passable" 3pt. shot isn't helping him. As to why he doesn't rebound, who knows. But he hasn't had even one respectable season as a rebounder in the NBA.
Look at NBA 4s who play 25+ minutes. Markieff Morris is in the bottom 20% in per 40 minute rebounding. In the top 15% in turnovers. In the top 15% in fouls. Below average in getting to the line. Bottom 20% in TS%. And he's about to turn 26, so this is not some "developing" player; this is a bad player, who's signed through June 2019.
Why would we want Markieff Morris? A nightmare.
Good points, PIF. There doesn't seem to be much in the numbers to suggest that he's a good player. The media seems to really like the guy though. I wonder why?
