Steph with 45 in a Warriors win this afternoon to secure the scoring title and the 8th seed.

He put up 22 3PA's! Just ridiculous.

Curry need only 4 points to win the title.

Would be nice to see Beal get back in the lab to put in work on this 3-point shooting, his accuracy has really taken a dive over the past 4 seasons and a marginally better percentage this year probably would have put the scoring title in this bag.

Still kudos to Beal, back to back 30+ppg season averages on good efficiency despite his pedestrian 3-pt shooting.

Beal has really had a strange career with respect to his 3-point shooting.

In his rookie season, he started out terribly, he shot 26.9% from 3-point range over his first 26 career games. Then he flipped a switch and was suddenly an awesome 3-point shooter. He shot an incredible 48.4% from 3-point range for the rest of that season, and then carried it through the first 20 games of the following season, shooting 45.9%. It looked like he was going to be the next Ray Allen.

But from that point forward, he stopped being an elite shooter. He settled into the 37-40% range for the next 4 years of his career - which is solid, but nothing special for a catch-and-shoot guy. And then, over the last 3 seasons, he became a shot creator off the bounce and a lot more of his 3-point shots were off the dribble rather than catch and shoot. His 3-point percentage plummeted to 35%. What's odd is that the drop isn't just due to a greater percentage of his looks being contested. His shooting percentage on catch-and-shoots has dropped too. Over his first 6 seasons, he always shot right around 41-42% on catch-and-shoot 3's (0 dribbles). Over the last 3 seasons, his catch-and-shoot 3 percentage was 36.0%, 37.8%, and 38.3% respectively.
