So exciting! A bottom 30 finish would guarantee a top 5 pick, and there are at least 5 can’t miss prospects.

I think Ace Bailey is the best player in the draft atm. He's a complete offensive prospect with the skillset of a legit #1 option.

Another reason to watch Duke, Khaman Maluach.

This guy is going to be battling Victor W years from now. He's a much better prospect than Sarr. He's powerful, and he carries 250 lbs well at 18 years old.

He reminds me of Shaq.

Yep. Both look great.

Ace is a BEAST.

Yeah, at the beginning of all this, I was pretty much with "tank as hard as they can for Flagg" but at this point, I'd like for us to be bad enough to land a top 4 pick.

Dalton Knecht:

35 points (10/18FG), (8/13 3FG), 7 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 blocks, 2 turnovers.

Looks like I will be watching Duke and Rutgers. Bailey's quick release reminds me of Bernard King except he's doing it from 3.

Their roster is so bad, he may actually get plenty of minutes early on but its hard to imagine him getting that many shots up. I could see him having a Corey Kispert-like impact early in his career. Defensively he's going to have major issues.

Pre-season but 7r/2s/2b suggests his defense may pick up now that he is not forced to carry the entire load of his team's offense. That said I wouldn't be startled if he does get touches considering JJ Redick's emphasis on a force diet of threeballs. Whatever his drawbacks Knecht is a willing shooter from outside with a quick trigger, not scared of the spotlight. If LeBJ throws you the ball he wants you to put it up right now. Whatever his effect on +/- I think his counting stats will pop. Wouldn't be surprised if he's in the conversation for ROTY given the media attention LeLakers get.

Clingan and Knecht made sense draft night, but I didn't expect Knecht to be available with the Wizards' second 1st round pick.

Guys Knecht's age tend to show everything they've got right off the bat, both good and bad. Early production but no room to improve or develop further because they are at the end of their development curve. People were falling all over themselves to praise how ready a 24 yr old Chris Duarte was coming out. He's now 27 yrs old going into year 4 and has done nothing approaching what he did in year 1 and appears to be on his way out the league.

Ace Bailey reminds me of a bigger, smoother & more polished R.J. Barrett. Like R.J. without the stiffness or looking clunky. I think that's a real good player and a potential 1st/2nd option scorer.

Agreed. He'll probably show improvement over the first 25 games or so as he adapts to the speed of the league, but after that, it'll be WYSIWYG.

Other examples of this include Brandon Clarke and Matisse Thybulle. Kispert is another comparison, though Kispert was a year younger and only a junior when drafted, so there was a bit more room for improvement.

I actually got a little Len Bias vibe in the way he rises up to shoot over people who are right on him. The key for him will be to develop a driving game to augment his perimeter game. There's a limit to your efficiency if you are too dependent on the jumpshot, unless you are an unbelievably accurate shooter like KD.
