Or was this just a hiccup bad game?

I wouldn't worry. This is a hiccup.

The Hawks are what we were two years ago: hungry.
Bickerstaff: who's up for kickball?!!
Ed Wood: Only if it's the no-pants variety.

Jamison getting fouled on every play.

EJ needs to bring in DS for Daniels. We need more D.

Yes. No doubt in my mind that Pecherov is just the excuse Eddie Jordan needs to never play Haywood past his first couple mistakes or what looks like he's not playing well.

Blatche is a help defender who blocks shots from the weak side or from trailing the play. No matter how many shots he blocks, he's nowhere near the defender Haywood is.

Eddie Jordan is not a real sharp coach IMO.

We finally get a stop.. thanks to an offensive foul.. Nothing of our own doing.

Terrible call. Worked in our favor though.

Tied up with 3:27 left after some big shots by AJ. I still don't feel good about this one though. This is just going to make it more heartbreaking.

And for all the people who will no doubt attack what I'm saying because Blatche is having a TERRIFIC GAME need to know I'd like to see more of Brendan and Andray, as well as more of Pecherov and Blatche.

I'm GLAD Pecherov is back and looking good. With the score 82-82 I'm encouraged.

I think the wise thing would be to put Haywood in so the Wizards don't give up layups or penetration as much down the stretch.

Hmm, Blatche on the help with the block and the save! I like that.

SMART TO KEEP AB AT C, EJ.

Good hard foul. The Wizards wouldn't commit that foul last year.

I don't blame EJ. Haywood played lousy. Blatche played well. Haywood deserved to be benched. Atlanta's points in the paint are mostly on fast breaks anyhow.

Wizards were +2 with Haywood on the floor.

As great as Andray has played they are -4 with him on the floor.

The Hawks attack the basket with reckless abandon when Haywood is out of the game. Blatche will foul and the Wizards will lose down the stretch is my prediction.

At this point I think it's very unwise to have Haywood on the bench down the stretch..

+/- doesn't tell the whole story when you are looking at just one game.

Blatche has 12/7/4.

Haywood has 2/2/1

Third quarter, Hawks 35-23, with Brendan DNP. (I believe, he's played 11 mins total this game). Blatche had 6 in the third and played great.

It's just one game but I'm not budging from my thoughts about Haywood's playing time, even though Blatche is tearing it up.

I think this might not even be a game if the Wizards stayed big in the third.
