I hate to say it, but with Butler out tonight and probably tomorrow night, with the Wizards playing a little lackluster lately, and a very rough schedule for the next 10 games, I can easily see the Wizards losing 8 out of their next 10.

Well, it makes sense, to just let Caron rest and get right like the insider says. Blatche will start.

As a Raps fan, I'm actually sorry to hear this...this home-and-home would have been a great barometer for both clubs. Any word whether Butler will play tomorrow night?

Doesn't sound like it. From Wizards Insider:

Butler out, Blatche to start

Caron Butler will not play tonight and is "probably" out for tomorrow night's game at Toronto with a left hip flexor strain. The injury happened during Sunday's loss at Milwaukee when Butler scored a career-high 40 points while almost willing the Wiz to a win. Andray Blatche will start in Caron's place and will likely start tomorrow night as well.

Obviously, the loss of Butler is huge. The team was swept out of the first round of the playoffs by the Cavs last spring without Butler and Gilbert Arenas and here we are again. I didn't get a chance to talk with Caron so I can't gauge how serious it is but Eddie Jordan made it sound as though Caron simply needs a couple of days to get it right so he can play Friday against Utah. I guess the idea is to not let it become an injury that lingers for several weeks.

Guys like Nick, Pech, Blatche, etc really need to step up tonight. We could use some energy from the bench. It'd be nice if Darius could stop playing a piece of ****, too. AD and DeShawn really need to play much better as a backcourt... their performances on Sunday were pretty mediocre...

PS - Blatche needs to guard Bosh tonight.

Ouch. But an opportunity for the big lineup - Jamison to the 3 and big minutes to Pech and Blatche and... DSong  . Actually, Songaila might match up okay against the Raps. I haven't been as impressed as others have with Pech. He's gotta step up tonight.

Unfortunately I have to concur, Blatche has been blah, and has shown a very limited game thus-far. Perhaps that's why he did not see many minutes with his Euro team. I am hopeful that he might be decent with more minutes.

Damn, couldn't have come at a more inopportune time, either with two games against a team we're battling for a high playoff spot.

Haywood is just tossing Bargnani around in the post. They need to go to him more. He's going to have position all night. He's also been in good rebounding position on every offensive board. The balls just aren't bouncing his way.

Bosh is garbage.. I've never seen such a soft player in my life. He's almost as soft as KG.

The refs are protecting Bosh like a Finals version of D-Wade.
