Former Eagles CB signed by Cowboys but released last week I think.

This sucks Allen & Ioannidis have been playing well.
Allen cleared out a lane for ioannidis to the QB on a sack in the 49'er win yesterday

This has been an injury plagued year for the teams I root for.

Maryland's on their 3rd string QB, and now this.

Guess this means Anthony Lanier gets activated against the Eagles. An UDFA that Doug Williams was big on last year. We actually cut IOANNIDIS last year and kept Lanier on the roster because they feared losing Lanier. Thankfully IOANNIDIS was signed to the practice squad and is now having a breakthrough year thus far in his second season.

Tomsula commented during OTA's how much bigger & stronger Lanier & IOANNIDIS were this year.

Gruden on Lanier this past spring:

“We do one on ones almost every day,” said Gruden. “That’s one drill that I watch diligently every day. One on one pass rush so I get to see how our offensive line is doing, that’s how games are won in my opinion. He was a guy who was most difficult for our guys to block. He was not a very natural rusher, either, he was just doing it on pure power, length.

“I think the more he works coming out of his stance, getting off on the snap count, hand usage, all these things that [new defensive line] coach [Jim] Tomsula will work with him, he’s got a chance to be really, really good.”

It would seem she passed away unexpectedly late Sunday night as the team was arriving in Philadelphia. If I recall Cousins was close to her and lived with her during the offseason of his first or second year in the NFL. I think he still drives his grandfather's van that Cousins bought from his grandmother shortly after his grandfather's death.
