We can't go to Red White & navy (like the Caps & Nats) b/c of the Hawks.

We can't go to Orange & Navy (Bobcats).

I was thinking we should go to Just straight Black, White & Gold. Drop the Blue. Home Jerseys are White with Black lettering with Gold outline. Aways are black with white numbers & gold outline.

Ultimately I thought red, white & navy would be the bst, but how's that relate to "Wizards"?

I've always liked the idea of using black and gold as our colors, just not in the ridiculous way we wound up using them with our alternates. I think something like the throwback Zephyrs we wore a few times would be simple and look pretty decent. Use a nicer font on the name, and swap the black and white parts for the road, and we'd be set.

Part III of Lee's Q&A sessions. Interesting thoughts on us still being in a good position to make a big trade if we want, with our combination of expirings and kids. Could be something to watch out for if there's an unexpectedly disgruntled star or two that pop up during the season.

Yeah I know lol... But I ain't a native Dutchmen, I'm from the Netherlands Antilles, so yeah... That's probably the reason... On the other hand, I've lived here for 20 years now, so I should've been fully adapted already... :D

But yeah, I'm probably the only Wiz here, all my friends/family are fans of the big name teams... You know, Cavs, Lakers, Celtics... All bandwagon fans I would say... Only rooting for teams in their prime...

I became a Wizards fan after playing NBA Street Homecourt... Arenas was the shizzle, having a amazing steals rating and a smooth jumper... So I looked him up on Google, and started following him, the Wizards and the NBA fulltime... Too bad that was about the time he and Butler went down with injuries and we got swept... I heard that sh*t all summer from my best friend, who's a Cavs fan... :-?

So yeah... This is the first season I'll see Arenas at full strength... Ik kan niet wachten man!!!! :D

Also in Part III, speaking on Saunders' past coaching experience and how it reflects on expectations with the Wizards:

Taking over a veteran team filled with stubborn old dogs who have had success is not an easy task for anyone but Saunders lasted three years and made it to the conference finals in each of those seasons. That being said, Saunders struggled to make the proper adjustments in tight playoff series as coach of Minnesota and Detroit. The Pistons just weren't afraid to publicly question him.

I imagine it might be difficult to balance honesty and maintaining relationships with players and coaches. I've hated some past Wizards reporting for being too timid and superficial. I like Lee's approach, not too confrontational, but still honest and willing to bring up issues.

Come on russkieboy I speak zero dutch and even I can parse that:

"I can not wait, man!"

Interesting thing, I was in Amsterdam for two weeks one summer and with my rudimentary English (or the american equivalent) the two languages are similar enough that by the end of the time I was understanding most of the conversation. Even jokes.

This Arab guy comes to amsterdam in the winter and a dutch fellow asks him
how are you called?
and the arab guy says:
I'm not cold. I'm hot.

I'm hot.... Ahmeed. Get it? Hahahahaha
guess you had to be there.

Only hassle was when Dutch shopkeepers would roll their eyes since I could understand but spoke not the lingo.

And they call Pierce "The Truth"!

"They tried to enlist me in their army of negativity but I kept ignoring their platters like they were offering pork," is obviously a jab at Haywood, who enjoys pork barbecue.
