Sorry for being late to the party with a dumb question, but if we win, do we play the winner of Pacers/Hawks?

Im a bit mad we dont give gooden or harrington more playing time I mean nene has been good minus game 3 but gortat gets alot of mins and needs to take a breather. Harringtom can ball he can honestly imo be a factor in the series by spreading the court while gooden shown in reg season he plays very hard and can grab boards and avg 10 ppg in a short time. He didnt do that today but made some key defensive stops and was boximg out.

Im surprised seraphin hasnt got a look. Next series we needa get some of these boys going espically gooden that dudr was pretty ok for a bench player.

I would rather play and beat the Pacers, but maybe that is dumb. Seems like a let down to get to the Finals by beating the Bulls without Rose and then the Hawks. Can you imagine the road to the finals going through Chicago, Atlanta, and Brooklyn? That would be a historically weak set of playoff opponents.

Gortat doesn't need a breather. It's the playoffs and there are no back-to-backs. Gortat is fine.

Oh, and Harrington is a pretty lousy basketball player. He might be just good enough for us to get by in a pinch if we use him sparingly off the bench, but let's not act like we should be actively trying to find minutes for him.

When everyone's healthy and no one's in foul trouble the 8 player rotation of of Wall, Miller, Beal, Webster, Ariza, Nene, Booker, Gortat is what they are probably going to stick with. Gooden looks like their first choice among bigs beyond that, with good reason.

Only way we would of lost is dunlvy historical career game again or augustin balling again.game 5 is ours I think nene comes back hungry I feel lile gm 4 the wizards where laid back espically with a lead .

I agree to be the best you gotta beat the best. Plus hawks given us problems more than the pacers id like to stay way from the hawls there underrated.

Yep. But it's still the finals. Take what you can get.

Finally starting to watch the game now after being on the road. LOL @ starting 14-0.

I really like that move Beal made early on the break where he went up with his right and finished with his left like that famous MJ move.

Major props to Ariza. Picked a good time to have one of those lights out games.

I recall it the other way around. The Pacers kicked our tails twice early in the season, with out sole victory coming during the Pacers late regular season slump.

We won the series against the Hawks 3-1 with a split before Horford got injured.

That defeat was a two point road loss in overtime, and we won the remaining two games on the road by 114-97 and at home by 101-97.

Not yet but it's getting close. He's becoming more of a closer. Shocked the Bulls didn't foul Wall earlier.

I love Beal and Wall equally. I have just never seen that kind of true leadership, on both ends, out of Beal in a pressure situation (even games where he was the high scorer or game winner). That was impressive.

Wall still has problems with aggression and frankly focus. I hope that Wall continues to elevate his game. My point was Beal certainly has. I never thought he'd be an actual star. He looked the part tonight.

How does a team become someones?
I remember this debate with Lebron and Wade. In the end, the better player ends up "owning" the team.
Wall is >> Beal.
JW was so active today. Blocks, Steals, Assists, Hussle for 50/50 balls, etc.
He is a scraper. This team is unselfish and works hard. To me that is JW.

Beal was starting to become a super chucker...but slowly he is starting to pass the ball. There were some passes that he made today...that would have been shots a few months ago.

I love the combo or Beal/Wall. I just have so much respect for Wall. Beal has to show me more. If he can become an efficient 20+ scorer, I'll reconsider my opinion...Wall is quiet, but he leads by DOING!

MikeTheKid wrote:Just got home from the phone booth, the energy was great and I gotta say the Wiz minus the offensive rebs and 2nd chance pts played a good game since it was 8-5. Ive never seen a game where refs blatantly tried to keep a team in the game with the exception of the Sac\Lakers game in 2002.

Im starting to wonder, should Ariza be our main priority in the offseason and dare I say should we trade Porter?

I was thinking similarly. Is Ariza the best player on our team?
Is he a top 2 defender on our team and the top 2 scorer?
I've seen him time and again carry this team when they needed someone bad.

I don't know if I want to give away Porter. Webster maybe?

pancakes3 wrote:Great experience. Looking into 2nd round tickets already. As for the Beal/Wall alpha dog status, there were a couple plays there down the stretch where the play was ran specifically for Beal. It worked out well in some - like the one that closed out the 1st half where Wall handed it off to Beal and Beal got the option to drive or kick out for the 3. Then it didn't work out as well in others and Beal's ISO ball-handling was exposed. I think both guys know that there are things about Wall/Beal that the other does MUCH better and it's as symbiotic a relationship as a backcourt can have.

They compliment each other so well. I noticed Beal was the primary ball handler for a couple of possessions this game. He cannot dribble. That is something he really needs to work on. I also noticed he was trying to facilitate more often this game. He appeared to be a good passer.

Either way, Wall definitely should control most of the game. Beal is great for last second shots.

Hmm doesn't that sound like a traditional PG and SG
