Exactly. I'd offer a 2+1 deal for 15M... thats it.

And would the Hawks really pay that much for him to be a backup? Phoenix already has his clone to be in Cam Johnson. So, in my mind - it's really only the Knicks that might bid him up in that range - and only if they're trying to be a .500 team.

Agreed. I don't see anyone bidding him up beyond $15M a year, at least not for a deal longer than 2 years.

Not to mention that the league's current financial travails will likely cause plenty of teams to keep their hands in their pockets.

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

As Dat2U keeps reminding us, we can't S&T Bertans for a pick in the 2020 draft. We would have to trade him for 2021 pick. I don't see a scenario where we do that since we're trying to compete for the playoffs this year and keep Wall and Beal happy.

If we wanted to trade Bertans for a pick, we should have made the deal at the Trade Deadline last year when Boston was offering a fairly high 1st.

I think they should just bite the bullet and pay him unless it gets up near $20 mil per. A healthy Wall, Beal as a legit 1st option and Bertans floor spacing sounds like some very entertaining basketball to watch. Likely not winning a Championship but arguably 2 role players away from making a serious run.

I'd look into flipping Bertans for Hayward if the Celtics are still keen on him, but beyond that I can't think of a worthwhile scenario that involves him in a sign and trade.

To me, if the Wizards fail to bring back Bertans they might as well throw in the towel and start over with a proper rebuild.

Nice. Played a little hard ball. Can still use the full MLE. Last year is a team option I think?

1 of the best gravity spacers in the league. Great deal, if it doesn't work out, super easy to trade a shooter. This is perfect.

I would have liked 4 years better but the $16 mil per is cool. Gives us $11 mil to work with minus to cost of the Gill signing.

A Wall, Beal & Bertans lineup will be fun to watch offensively. 125 ppg will be a regular occurrence.

$16 mill a year. Comes in under Gallinari's $20 mill --- but two more years. I am looking forward to seeing all these guys together!

I think it was an option for the Knicks if they struck out on FVV and Grant.
Bickerstaff: who's up for kickball?!!
Ed Wood: Only if it's the no-pants variety.
