Beating the #4 team in the country for partial control of the conference on senior night when a top 5 all-time Terp is playing his last home game ever doesn't warrant rushing the court? Relax people... Now as for the rioting, THAT stuff is just plain (Please Use More Appropriate Word).

Apparently, I just re-stated everything you just said nearly word-for-word.

Yeah, I was surprisingly nervous. With Landesberg out, this should have been a cakewalk, but oh well. Can't complain.

Let's hang that ACC banner, shall we?

Meh, a letdown was to be expected, and MD's just not a good team on the road - pretty much like the rest of the ACC.

Unfortunately, the "ACC Champion" is the team that wins the ACC Tournament. It should be the regular season winner.

I still don't know what we "got away with". It's not our fault VA's coach cost his team a shot to win the game.

I would have been pissed if they handed it to Scheyer. If anyone thinks that kid means as much to Duke as Greivis does to us, they're delusional.

As for Gary Williams, this must feel like sweet, sweet redemption for him after being on the hot seat last year (undeservingly so). Say whatever you want to about his scouting methods but when it comes to coaching, there are few better than Gary.

Sporting News has Greivis as 1st team All American and ACC POY. Pretty **** nice. My boy Scottie 1st team as well and BE POY.

And Maryland could/should have had both.

wouldn't it be nice to enjoy an ACC Tournament one of these days? Typical MD postseason flame out...phase one...complete

Not to make excuses because Greivis had a horrid game, much of it due to himself, but the defense played on him was absolutely superb. He could barely get off a shot, let alone one that had a decent chance of going in.

Not to mention GT was hitting e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g. They shot 62% at the half, including 6/8 from 3!

Yet we were still in till the very end. We did it with pressure defense.

So even though this was a loss, I can't see Vasquez struggling like this again nor do I see the team being outplayed that horribly for a while (maybe once we face a true upper-echelon team we might be).

props to Eric Hayes on winning the 3 point contest! It felt good to get excited and pump my first about some kind of victory again.

Vasquez wins the Cousy! Wow, didn't see it going to anybody but Wall, especially considering the votes separating the two when I sent mine through.

Vasquez beat out finalists Sherron Collins (Kansas), Scottie Reynolds (Villanova), Jon Scheyer (Duke), Evan Turner (Ohio State) and John Wall (Kentucky) to win the award, which is determined by a vote of the Hall of Fame's Blue Ribbon Selection Committee, comprising media members, head coaches, sports information directors and Hall of Famers.

"He is now what you would call a guy that would be pro-ready," said Los Angeles Clippers assistant John Lucas, who played at Maryland from 1973 to 1976. "And I look at it from a different perspective. I look at who can come in and help a [NBA] team right away. He has that capability to help a team now, right away. Last year he didn't."

 Amazing! We need to create a betting-pool for where he will be picked in the draft.

I doubt he is there when the Clippers 2nd round pick(the 26th). I think he will be middle of the 2nd round. A lot depends on what position teams see him playing. I think if they see him as being a PG they are more likely to be willing to overlook his limitations.

Ok Terp fans, make your official prediction on where Greivis Vasquez gets picked on draft night.
Either Memphis or Orlando I believe will take him. I will go with Memphis at 28.
