Wouldn't have been a bad trade to be honest. Looking back. Add a pick going our way and it would have been fine.

I need this jinx to end because all my friends think I am a jinx and this would end it all if we got John Wall. I could post game threads, etc

Well that was really comforting Ji

This was hilarious.

It would have been incredible -- the steal of the century. That was my point.

I'm bumping this up. When we lose the lottery tonight, we can at least read this.

Below is what I said two years ago.

It's been about 4 hours since the draft lottery, and this is my first post. Honestly, this year I would have preferred #2 or #3. I'm not as high on Wall as everyone else seems to be. For one, this past draft was the PG draft. I don't think Wall will be as good as Tyreke Evans. I see Wall lacking a perimeter game. I don't see him instantly being Rondo. I see him being a decent SG. For whatever reason, I see him being a better-leaping Cutino Mobley.

I really like Cousins and Turner over Wall. I think Cousins is the best player in this draft. I think Turner will be a very solid defender, rebounder, and coach's dream.

Wall IMO won't mesh well with Gilbert and he'll probably clash trying to fit into Flip's inflexible way of doing things.

I'm glad that 99% think I'm wrong--so hopefully, they're right and John Wall is the franchise stud folks think he will be.

Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing the Wizards trade the number one for Turner and a future first, or Cousins and a future first.

The Wizards have Arenas and I don't see him and Wall working very well. I think Livingston and Gil work better. Cousins is the guy IMO who would transform this team. Points in the paint and interior defense is what he provides.

How did what I predicted grade out?

--Hmmm. If Turner got Brandon Knight or some like that, what would be better? Probably Wall. But if the Wizards had Cousins with a pick like Knight, I'm sorry, he's better than Wall IMO. Cousins is not the physical talent Wall is. He has figured out rebounding, however.

--Flip did get fired. Inflexible. Check. Gil was already gone, even before Wall was drafted for all intents. He and John got along, though.

--Wall has not been as good as advertised. Check. I think he can/will become an all star when he hits the jumper. He is developing a change of pace game and getting better on defense, but I feel more than justified in saying what I said two years ago. All of that said, I like what I saw from Wall this past season. I've come around on him and I think he can become an all star if/once he makes a jumper consistently.

This year, I really hope they beat the odds and get Anthony Davis because I think he will be better than advertised. Anthony Davis is going to be a much better player than John Wall, but if he comes to this team Davis can be a guy who can take John Wall with him to the HOF, eventually.

I can't see it happening but it sure would be nice to win this lottery. I think the Wizards could win a championship within 3 years. That is how good I think Davis is and what this lottery would mean.

Sorry CCJ, your Cousins arguments really won't hold any weight until Cousins has a higher TS% than John Wall.

Were talking about a 6-11 low post monster here and he's got a lower TS% than a bricklaying PG. That's simply not going to cut it if he's going to be the franchise big you claim he is.

Cousins and Brandon Knight for Wall will cut it. The comparison is not Cousins vs Wall and it never was. I do think Cousins is currently a better player, but that is highly, highly debatable. Cousins porous shooting really has a bad impact on the court, but so does Wall with his turnovers and with his 3 for 2000 3pt shooting.

My point on draft night was Wall was not the best PG prospect ever, and not even a very good player yet.

I don't remember Brandon Knight setting the world on fire either.

He has not but he can shoot, unlike Wall.

When Wall learns to shoot, then he can take a quantum leap ahead of Knight. John is NEVER going to shoot it like Kyrie Irving and I don't think he's going to be as good a player. Period. John has the defensive tools but does not bring it consistently at that end of the floor. Irving OTOH can help a team in transition or in half court.

Dang, I flipped back to this site to see when the drawing was taking place and saw this title . . . then saw the date. SH***T as we say down South.

You know how every year during the NFL Draft they always replay the Jets' blunders throughout their draft history. I'm thinking this draft is the equivalent to that. Dat's reaction alone is HOF post worthy.

Whatever, you get a kick out of this ****. It's the only reason your ass is even halfway relevant on this board. You pull this sorry Jinx **** every chance you got.

Personally, I think your **** pathetic...

I don't want the zards to win the lottery. Well, would be nice if they got the #3 pick so they could get Oladipo.
