Wizards are going to give the Hawks a similar beating to what they are giving Toronto imo

Deron Williams is not the same player as he was.

Jarrett Jack is way better.

Brooklyn with 14 unanswered points in the 4th. Nets should get the win today.

Good job BKN. Make ATL work. Still don't think the Nets can pull out the series, but it would be nice if everyone else sweeps but the Hawks have to go 6 or 7.

They are what we thought they were..

ATL isn't all that scary. Hell, if DW would have hit that bunny, they might have even eventually won another.

ECF... Here we come.

Well, that's if we can get past TOR first.

Now we just have to take care of business tomorrow and we get a nice rest. Especially for God Wall's shoulder.

Rico - Miss your Insider posts under your former nom de plume, I thought you would appreciate this classic from 5 years-ago :)

Wizards Faithful,

You experienced with your own eyes (and ears) what I've been telling you for months--the Wizards are stocked with young talent that will be heard and felt by the NBA sooner rather than later. The Wizards are simply too talented and too hungry to be treated like the redheaded stepchildren of the Southeast division. They will apply their strengths (quickness, length, athleticism, uber talent) against the weaknesses (a cap-busting contract, alpha male uncertainty, lack of depth, Kwame Brown) of their division foes and let the chips fall where they may. I say the chips will fall squarely on the part of the NBA board marked "playoff berth"!

Even the chronically tone-deaf among us had to like the first few bars of the masterpiece written and composed by Ernest Grunfeld and provided for your listening pleasure last night. To the haters: Learn how to make the music come to life in your head based on the notes you see on the music sheet. What a shame it is to recognize brilliance only after the music is played!

Something to think about ..

MIL and BOS and even TOR and the Wizard are all gaining playoff experience this year. More so its important for a teams like MIL and BOS who are there for the first time with their newly designed team.

Like it helped us, it will help them.

So you have CLE and CHI.. Now its looking more like the Wizard are near that class. Then you get IND back with PG. MIA might do something next year. ATL can keep developing around what they are putting together. TOR might even be able to tweak what they have. Same with BOS who has picks. And eventually NY will put something together around Melo.

That's 9 teams.

I don't expect it to be all the way their next year but it will be tougher. In two year, who knows. Could be pretty deep. Hell, BRK might even be able to adjust by then. Once they get DW off the books, they can do something better. 2016 Joe comes off the books.

I think the worst for the East is behind them. PHI might even eventually figure something out.

I think the west goes 11 deep next year with the resurgence of the Jazz. I think only the Hawks and Cavs would have made the playoffs in the west. I think that is a very large jump. But if you want to say that it will eventually even out - okay.

ATL still is very disciplined and they have a better offensive system.

Atlanta, even with the hiccups, are far better coached. The gap is huge....a gaping maw.

The Bulls just lost to a Jerryd Bayless layup.

Derrick Rose made a turnover for a go ahead bucket before that.

Thibs out thinks his lineups, the spacing for the Bulls is sometimes terrible when they put Hinrich, Gibson, Noah out there with Rose and Butler.

That was a brilliant play call by Jason Kidd.

That really was a well-designed last play. A one-man backdoor cut on the baseline while everyone else was running around in circles at the top of the key.

That last play victimized Rose, who was also responsible for a crucial turnover as well.
