I hope he burns in bankruptcy hell forever for the job loss his stupid political opinions are causing to vulnerable journalists. Getting really sick of billionaires buying up media assets to push a political viewpoint and ruin the asset entirely and just get away with it because they're rich.

It was very painful, but I finally cancelled my subscription which is paid through 2025, so I still read it, I feel badly for the hardworking journalist that remain, but phuck Bezos, now Zuckerberg has plopped down 23M on a DC house to pal
around with Thiel, Trump, and perhaps Elon.

Doc,

I attended an online training last night (for the rally). They did not come out quite as strongly as you did
re the possible actions of the reactionary right but they did provide some excellent foundational
training.

I’ll watch but just know there are those imbedded in the Trump power structure who won’t be happy unless they can foment literal war for the heart of the country. Especially race war. Just read the pages and feeds of people that Trump and Elon quote and retweet and like. People like Steven Miller and Bannon as well make very clear what Again means in the MAGA acronym.

Just remember MAGA is a minority. 27% of eligible voters. This idea that they’re some huge majority winning bigly is false.

It takes an extraordinary amount of patience to sit through this one, but if you want to get an insight into what we're up against have a look at Sam Seder joining Patrick Bet-David's podcast.

I looked at the comment section before watching the whole thing and it is astonishing seeing those takes versus what's happening during this "conversation".

Yeah but among the population of the military and police departments in this country and that ratio is higher. We already have seen our Capitol invaded. That criminal mob are all 'patriots' now, empowered and emboldened. With a dozen years of angry rhetoric behind them, told they are losing their country to foreigners and internal enemies. Itching for a proper fight. Not critical thinkers, unable to admit they have been indoctrinated and are wrong. If things go south they will look for someone to blame. Other than themselves. Or the guy they voted for. Its got to be someones fault because: America! USA! That's as far as the logic goes. When even their superbowl is 'woke' nowadays.

Oh yes there are truly evil demented people in
our country. I'm currently reading Caste (late to getting to that). It's challenging to read even though the
vocabulary is not especially difficult. The subject
material is heartbreaking. Considering the
legacy of the country, some of it very recent,
no one should be surprised that there are still those
who have no compunction about cruelty to
any group unlike themselves. Add in the usefulness
of easily obtaining followers and devotees just
by appealing to these disgusting sets of beliefs
and it's a slam dunk.

More bad news for Tesla. Don't blame anyone for jumping ship. I'd rather tell a girl at a bar that I make gay porn than work at Tesla.

Being the math genius I am, I'd say that is a

6047/5165 =1.171

Yet the morons in the House
decided that one day is a year

Where is Grover Norquist when he would
actually be useful?

That's a little over 14%. I'm already pissed. If it doesn't turn around, lots of people that voted for him will be pissed.

They literally changed the definition of
how long a defined period of time is so
they wouldn't have to take a tough vote
(in order to potentially save the country).

Trump blows off dignified transfer ceremony to play golf. Perhaps those dead servicemen were losers and suckers in his opinion.

Video from Vilnius(Lithuania) shows an outpouring
of emotion (from Lithuanians)for the servicemen
who were killed.

Compare and contrast.

It's not enough for Trump to reverse his idiotic tariff policies. This incompetent boob needs to be removed from office immediately.

https://www.cnbc.com/2025/04/05/how-trumps-tariffs-rollout-turned-into-stock-market-mayhem.html

There are almost ZERO tariffs in any commodity with any statistically significant amount of trade. There are no trade negotiations left to do, the trade deficit is a result of US HAVING THE STRONGEST ECONOMY IN THE WORLD. Import deficits are an EXTREMELY GOOD THING.
