Interesting stat to perhaps show a change in him - the last 5 games, he's averaged 4.6 assists per game. Until he came to Washington, he never averaged more than 1.2 per game.

Great observation, Ruz.

Webster is becoming a team leader. His unselfishness and willingness to find open teammates rather than forcing up a contested shot is one reason the Wizards are suddenly winning.

His turnover rate is way down at the same time his assist rate has improved.

Webster is by far having a career best year.

I don't think he's becoming a team leader so much that he is one -- and that's part of the reason he got this deal. Gortat's skill in the pick and roll is starting to appear to. Be a bit of a game changer for this squad; that Mar-Mar PnR has to be behind a great many of those assists and I notice Ariza is getting into the act as well. Gortat just may turn out to be a more significant player than I realized. I, for one, have to squint really damn hard to envision Okafor having the kind of offensive game that Gortat had in Milwaukee.

I've been so impressed when the first action, usually involving Wall, doesn't lead to an open shot, and the ball ends up in Websters hands with the defense slightly off balance. His secondary play-making, with both Gortat and Nene, has been awesome in the pick and roll. Agreed with Fish that Gortat has been huge for that aspect of our team.

IDK if I should even talk about this because I would hate to think that he reads this and it can effect his play in some way (crazy, I know) but I just found out that when he was 4, his mother went missing and was never found. She is believed to be one of Gary Ridgway's victims (The Green River Killer).

I hated that dude anyways. Now it makes me want to kill him myself for some reason. I bet Web would love to get his hands around his neck. I saw a police interrogation with him and he was such a coward. Yet, prey's on unsuspecting women

He is a bad dude.

Yeah, he has been everything we hoped for and more after signing that full MLE contract. His per minute numbers are pretty much identical to last year except he's doing it over more minutes and turning the ball over at an insanely low rate.

USG 15 ? That 4th lowest on the team only behind Temple, Ves and Porter.

Trevor A has a 19 usage.

Seems they have some bottled up production from Webster that they are not tapping.

Couldnt agree more. I think a Porter/Rice combo along with the net benefit of a better backup big and/or Pg could be enough to overcome Trevor A's loss in production and make us a better balanced team for the rough patch in January.
Just compare Webster and Ariza sice they came to the Wiz.

He also leads the NBA in offensive rating at 127.1, go figure.

Yep.

Have to give credit where credit's due.

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

Yeah. He is my favorite Wizard. Productive. Pure stroke. Even grits for rebounds and dives on the floor. Focused leader that always seems to say the right things. Humble. And some how he still manages to be goofy. You don't often get that combination.

Beal is a close second. All he lacks is the experience and maturity that Webster has gained.

I think Wall can get there. Hopefully he can relax a little more now that the team is finally getting healthy and has more talent. Its not 2011 anymore. They didn't go 3-23 this year. He did well to play his role of vocally keeping the pressure on to be good now, but the cavalry is arriving. Hopefully he can play his role, win and laugh a little more. He has had to endure a lot of pressure since showing up. Hopefully he feels that pressure can now be shared more.

Webster has really thought the younger player how to photobomb.

Kevin S getting in on the act.

Dropped a double on Trevor A.

This team is funny. I like that.

Feels like things are set up nicely for this team to take one of the leaps. Impressed by Walls interview.
Nene off the bench. Kevin maturing. Another 5 days of rest. Otto ramping up his minutes finally. If Randy can figure out the Ves and Booker thing, I think they can make a nice run.

Team starting to sound confident.

When Beal gets off his minutes restriction, Otto's minutes aren't going to be there. Not unless we really cut the minutes that Ariza and Webster play. Which actually might not be a bad thing. Almost 33 minutes a game is really high for Webster. We need to manage his minutes as carefully as Nene's. And Beal and Ariza should probably be around 32 or 33 a game instead of where they have been.

I would like to see Beal and Nene actually make it to the end of the season. I think they both need to play less than 30mpg to do that... but as thin as we are, I don't see that happening.

I was worried about the contract(mainly due to health rather than production), but I agree it seems like it is working very well.

When Ernie does good, he does really good. When Ernie does bad, he does really bad. Is there an in between with him?
