I've been banging that drum too. Said pretty vociferously after the draft that he had a chance to be a steal, and it's not like it took very much projection to believe that notion. Kid has well above average physical tools (he has size, strength and explosive leaping ability), and a solid set of skills (he can shoot it, he's an asset on the break, he's crafty around the rim with floaters and flip shots, he attacks the rim athletically and he can handle the ball decently).

Pelton had him as a back end of the lottery type talent and that's what I think he'll produce like in the league. He'll be a very solid asset for us going forward.

He is plenty crafty on his drives to the hoop. His footwork into moves like his fadeaway are pretty good, but imagine what Paul Pierce can pass onto him. Outside of maybe Kobe there isn't anybody whose footwork I like to watch more (insert Welker/RexRyan joke here).

It's funny, watching him back his guy down against the Wolves, I actually felt like he may be learning alot from A Miller. He has the potential to use his "big house" and low center of gravity to his advantage over most guards trying to check him.

Some evidence of work on his game - with a little over 200 FT attempts his D-League FT% is over 15% higher than college(77.3% vs. 61.1%).

I was on the Rice bandwagon as well...after I saw tapes of his play in the NBDL, which I was very impressed by. They supported suggestions that GRII had first round potential.

I thought Rice played liked he belonged in the limited minutes he got early last season, especially defensively. Those who wanted Wolters instead will eventually realize that Rice was the right pick.

I thought he would have been a olid darkhouse candidate for our 1st rd pick had we not moved up to #3. The dude has potential. He was criticized because he was a Ernie pick. Not that Ernie doesn't deerve the scrutiny buthe was written off by many before he even had shot. I'd be totally comfortable playing him behind Beal and moving Martell once he gets healthy.

Rice impressed me with his defense last season. I love the way he hustles on that end of the court. With experience he'll be more aware but he's always using his length and athleticism there which is a very good sign.

I also love that he slashes to the rim. I hope he keeps improving and impresses in training camp.

Talking out of both sides of my mouth here but I think either Wolters or Rice would have been good picks then and are good players now. There are some die-hard Wolterites but I think the majority of the board was a sane, level-headed mix of justifiable reticence and cautions optimism when we traded for Rice especially since the basketball talent was clear and present and that the doubts were mostly off-court.

I just hope he gets legit time backing up Beal. I am not interested in seeing Miller and Wall on the court at the same time.

He was second or third on my list of potential 2nd round targets midway through round 1, and all the guys I wanted more than him were off by the time we traded up. Loved the pick, and like Dat and a few others, raved about it post draft. Was disappointed he wasn't able to get more minutes last year, but that can happen when you get hurt, and there are plenty of other players who can take your minutes.

Fingers crossed he sticks as a key part of the rotation this coming season, and performs up to our expectations. Performance thus far definitely suggests he is up for it.

Given Beal's injury problem this past season i hope Rice gets plenty of time. I don't see any reason not to play him. If he can hit 3s he can be a real asset. He seems to be a very scrappy, physical player.

I know it may work against him sometimes, but I love the EDGE Glen has. He doesn't have a choir boys mentality, I think he honestly thinks hes better then anyone he's up against. I hope he channels his emotions well, cause right now I believe it is showing massive dividends. Dude is doing what an NBA player should do, decimating the competition. Still think he needs better effort on defensive rotations but I guess I got randy to believe in that for.

Pretty cool seeing Wall and Beal attending a summer league game.

 No 21 yo shooting guard has ever put up close to those numbers. Look it up.

I hope you don't actually believe those will be Beal's averages, if so I feel sorry for you. You will be quite disappointed

I honestly do...ariza was a pure spot up...pierce can create to an extent...i see Beal getting a lot more looks..he's also more stable now as a player...him and wall will average close to 50 point a game
