Interesting, as Vesely is everyone's least wanted target at 6, Burks is my least wanted target in virtually the entire draft. THe only guys I absolutely don't want at 18 are Burks, Fredette, Vucevic (I'm a Cal alumn, and always saw Vucevic as a guy who took all the tools to be dominant, and only proved to be solid, that alarms me, especially when the Pac-10 was particularly down the past two years), and Singler, Jeremy Tyler, and Nolan Smith. I've warmed up to him a bit in that he's played about 3,000 minutes in two years and scouts seem to universally still dig him, but.......in gauging the general mood here, we should likely petition for a dung-flinging emoticon to be added to the smilie palette.

I'm calling him Prague Spring as of now.

If we end up with Vesely, I assume Kanter goes third to Utah (based on all the JVal to Cleveland reports). That Favors-Kanter duo could be phenomenal in 2-3 years. No idea what they do for a backcourt (or with Al Jefferson's contract) though.

Edit: Al is only on the books for one more year after this one. Kanter to Utah makes sense. Don't know why none of us saw it sooner. he and Favors will grow well together.

FWIW Doug Gottlieb and Ryen Russillo both said on the NBA today podcast that Vesely would be the ROY if drafted by the Wiz at 6. Scratch that, when.

I'm so unenthused by Vesely, I'd rather the Wizards use the pick to dump Lewis. I'd give Cleveland the pick if they'd take Lewis with their TPE, if that's even possible. That would be a better move than drafting Vesely.

Ernie & his minions are idiots and Leonsis is an even bigger idiot for trusting his decision making ability.

How close is Turkey to Czech? Perhaps they have good relations and are also interested in Kanter? Regardless whether they're planning on picking Vesely or not it's just stupid to invite the embassy. Who is running this ship? Susan O'Malley?

2010 Excluding lucking into Wall, the rest of his draft night performance was weak.
2009 - Disastrous Miller/Foye trade
2008 - Everyone hated Mcgee and the Walker dump
2007 - Nick the quick. He was supposed to go late lotto but even then most here wanted someone else
2006 - Big Pecker. yeah that didn't work out.
