In before over reactions to this lose without Wall, against the one seed, where we played them basically tight the whole game.

Proud of how they played.

You can not continue to play NENE and kevin like this! You have hump, at the very least he can rebound, play D and hit some open jumpers.

Now I'm even more convinced Wizards win this in 5

Without the refs, Wizards would have had this. Add Wall back and at home..

Wizards win the next 2 and close out in ATL

I never hated the Hawks before but man, what a group of faking, moving screen, floopers

Wizards are going to make easy work of these chumps.

Great effort. If Wall is healthy, we got these chumps.

The Hawks should hang a banner in the rafters that says "Worst 60 Win Team Ever."

Wittman stuck by two faves -- Nene and Temple -- that didn't give us anything. Wall's return will likely return Temple to the bench, but the "loss" of Nene is huge. I'm not convinced that any of our backup bigs will fare any better against the Hawks' front line than Nene did, but at this point, Wittman has to try.

I guess it's time to second-guess EG's decision to stock up on multiple burly bigs, without giving us any 3-4 tweeners besides Pierce. Having a smaller, quicker 4 instead of Blair would really balance our bench out.

Hey, I was with you. He better not start in DC. That would be firable IMO.

No way was Randy going to change anything, winning 5 straight. Even though they got down every game with Nene starting and I can only imagine his +/- in six playoff games. He still won't change anything because he can blame this loss on John not being there.

I expect a big bounce back game from Gortat. Dude usually plays better after a bad showing, and he'll (hopefully) have Wall to PnR with.

Overall, good showing by our guys. We're maybe a ~20 win team without Wall so to keep it tight so long is a net positive. Wall was laughing at Atlanta when he walked off tonight.

On the plus side, there' no way Nene goes 3 straight games without a field goal so we have a solid 2+pt performance to look forward to in game 3.

Killed by who ?

Hell, I have been calling for it all yeah.

My response to you was, he was going to start Nene and why I thought he would.

That doesn't equal that he shouldn't have started someone else. I just knew he wouldn't.

He can't handle him from the perimeter. He'd drive right by him. Blair is just too fat right now.

Blair would be the last person you put in against ATL.

You think Nene looked bad..

Positives: Sessions and Porter came up big. Beal had a pretty good game, too.

Negatives: ATL's front court owned our front court. And Millsap is quick enough to neutralize our small lineup, while big enough to make us pay for it on the boards.

Stuff we knew before the series even started.

But Randy is Randy.

He is going to so stupid stuff like that.

Not actually true.

We were right in this..

One the road
with the refs totally sucking ass
and with Nene playing Nene 27 mins who sucked as...

They should have won this game if either of the last two things didn't happen.

ATL doesn't worry me at all.

WIN in 5.. with Wall. Wiz in 6 or 7 if he doesn't play next game.

And New Flash. HE IS PLAYING NEXT GAME.. COUNT ON IT.

Yeah, how could Ernie not sign another point guard just as good as Wall to replace him.

The drought of talent on the team. If you can't imagine anyone better than Temple, Seraphin, and yes Sessions as back-ups, then I can't help you.

Agreed. Extremely proud how the guys played without Wall, with one exception....Nene. I think part of his bad play is just bad match-ups for him. But I also think he is not playing as hard. He makes half-a## effort to get out on shooters, he gives up on plays too soon, and he is not attacking Milsap despite having a size advantage. I think this talk about him "sacrificing" is bull. He is sulking and his play is showing on the court. He needs to be benched in favor of Humphries. Humphries might not be any better on the defensive end, but he at least will put another player on the court that is an offensive threat.

Aside from Nene, I'm happy with how they played. Otto was simply amazing...he was everywhere. I think Beal tried to do to much, but I think he will settle down with Wall back. With less Nene and Wall back hopefully healthy, I actually feel good going forward. We hung tight with Atlanta despite our best player out. Let's take them Saturday.

Oh, yeah. Kind of comical the Hawks fan's chanting "ref you suck". How many calls did they get over us?

I thought he gotta couple offensive boards off of weird clanks but other than that we wasn't killing us on the boards I felt.
