Touch. Out now. Icelandic-Japanese film. Very poignant and beautiful, and with a slow, searching pace that feels like a revelation in a culture of grab and go and instant gratification.

Go see it. I was very moved.

Sounds like my kind of film, thanks for the tip.

Just saw a movie musical called "Once." Sort of dodged every single musical theatre cliche while still holding together a nice love story. Not my typical cup of tea but I liked it.

Anyone actually seen this? I mean the REAL version, not the butchered version that was released in America that made no sense. This is Leone at his best--it's long, and I mean real long, around 4 hours depending on the version--but it's incredible... worth it, even if you have to split it into 2 viewings...

Deniro is just fantastic here too...

The shot at 1:50 of old De Niro's gaze and then it's his eyes as a child is one of my favorites (yes that's Jennifer Connelly)

It would not surprise me that there have been more movies about assassins than actual people (non-military) who make their primary living killing other individuals.

I like most movies -- almost always find something redeemable in them, even if it's only camp value. However, I wasted two hours watching Trap last night. Man, I almost always love M Night Shyalaman films. But this one sucked. Manipulative but still obvious. Slow, yet without intrigue. Great cast in roles with no depth. What's sad is that the set up was great... it could have been a wonderful film, with overlapping subthemes, exploring fame, father-daughter relationships, OCD, etc. Instead, it was just a thriller that wasn't at all thrilling. Very disappointing. I had high hopes -- kind of like I have every Wiz and Commandos preseason.

Awesome clips. It's been a while since I'd seen the film. Reminded me how great it was. They truly don't make them like this any more. I love the pacing... way too slow for a modern audience.

One of the best movies of the last 40 years.

Apple TV gives me by-far the best bang for the buck in streaming entertainment, high quality series and no cranked out slop like with NetFlix, it’s a real shame that they promote their shows so poorly.

LaRoy, Texas, now on cable is a lot of fun. It's a dark humor neo-noir story about a sad sack husband mistaken for a hit man. Good cast and acting with Steve Zahn stealing the show.

Also watched Menashe on HBO. It's about a Hasidic man trying to keep custody of his son after his wife died. It's good look into Hasidic culture, if you like that type of thing. It's in Yiddish with English subtitles. I enjoyed hearing the Yiddish, which I heard all the time growing up a long time ago.
