His scoring has gone down from 15.5 per 40 to only 12.4 while his shooting percentages have gone down - which is a bit surprising. And they drafted Davion Mitchell - who's also a 3rd guard type - with the 9th pick - which makes Hali tradable - considering they also have Fox and Hield. They need a forward to complement Barnes and a center to share the load with Holmes. Barnes and Holmes are having fabulous seasons. Not saying Hali will come cheap, but I doubt Sac considers him untouchable by any stretch.
Wow, I get to disagree with you. I think Sac feels that feels that the trio of Fox, Halliburton and Mitchell is their long-term future.
I think the odd man out is Hield - which (in my mind (and I am no GM)) would be a good thing for us?
Edit: If you wanted to "sell high" on Avidja (you don't believe in his long-term future) then you swap Avidja for Rui.
Hield may very well be the odd man out, but that's hardly written in stone. I mean... he's a career over 40% 3 point shooter on extremely high volume - filling a needed role on the team. There's certainly value in a player like that. But he's got a big contract that lowers his trade value, so how are they going to improve by trading him? Mitchell's certainly not going to take up the slack for Hield's 3 point shooting. And no, we shouldn't look to acquire Hield - paying him over 20 mil a year to back up Beal doesn't make sense. If we trade Beal somewhere else, it might make some sense.
