It sounds really silly but when I asked Howard Mass to reinstate SD20 I didn't think he would even answer my email. whats up Dat!! yeah man...i cant believe its been 16-17 years since we started posting! we were kids back then! great to post again and thank you for the welcome back!

man that would be hilarious to get back into our old posts from early 2000's. i think they were kinda legendary! lol. i know i would feel really foolish AND AWESOME reading those!! back then there were no advanced stats and only kevin was using the early versions of them and debating using them. everyone else was eyeballing it so we actually had debates about players actually playing basketball...now the advanced stats win out.

Yeah things have definitely changed a lot. I would probably cringe at some of my posts back then lol. Glad to have you back bro.

Thanks for the video. After seeing it, I've got to object to Barkley saying Lebron doesn't want to compete. But Barkley does have a point that Lebron needs to keep it in house and not complain to the media.

Looking at Lebron's initial comments though, I don't think he's really calling management cheap. I think he's just firing a shot across the bow of management, letting them know that if a decent player becomes available, they better go get him. The bottom line is that it's not feasibly to simply "go out and get a guy". All the Cavs have are a couple of small trade exceptions (about $4M IIRC). There aren't very many impact players making $4M.

I watched it live, and btw, Shaq was very much against Chaz on this one and was pro Lebron. Kenny was with Charles but not as vocal about it. Part of Charles' point was that Cleveland had already had the highest payroll in the NBA, so how can Lebron expect them to do more. I think that's a fair part of his argument. And while Lebron can certainly make a case against Charles, I thought a lot of Lebron's comments were cheap shots not related to the issue Charles was talking about. Granted, Charles has used that same tactic in the past, so maybe he had it coming.

Still not a big LeBJ fan (the person, not the player) but he's suffered this kind of sniping his whole career, so it's not a surprise that at some point he jabs back, and Barkley has been perhaps the single biggest culprit and there's also a lot of damaging facts to hurl back in his face. I like Barkley's honesty, even if he's frequently wrong, but pushback comes with the turf.

EH. I SEE IT THE OTHER WAY. I thought LeBJ was a bit of a bitch in attacking Charles with personal slights instead of addressing his points. And you notice he didn't say anything about Kenny, who had the same critique. Seemed a valid point to me. The same way he is always complaining to the referees, the same way he always had an excuse when he would fall short in the payoffs, he starts whining and bitching when his team is struggling and looking for ways to deflect the attention and scape goat someone and find excuses. What does Chuck's past bad behavior have anything to do with that? And then to tweet later to see if anyone still likes him. Its the same complaint I often have about LeBJ. He has all the advantages in thw world, best hardware in the game for winning. Excellent basketball mind. Refs allow him extra steps etc. He's been blessed by the gods, and still needs to hide behind other stars and have the highest payroll in the league and exceed the lux tax and have full input on front office moves, and so much more than any other player in the league gets. And still he's bitching. And can only answer by going personal. To deflect attention. Its a bitch move.
