Plus what do we really know what happened we only have the perpetrators word that it is a nothing burger! What does Mueller know is the important thing. Plus soon after the Russian dump of Clinton information started to happen.

I get it. You fully support a police state. Wiretap anybody for any reason as long as somebody heard that maybe somebody gave somebody some information.

That the best you have?????
It was the Washington Post that exposed Donny Jr. and it was Donny Sr. who tried to protect him with a fabrication.
I don't pick up drooling ALT RIGHT broad sheets.
But yes I do believe that countries should be getting information about enemies of the state with foreign powers. I would trample on someones individual rights if it meant protecting my country from terrorism or manipulation by a foreign power. Why do you think the Five Eyes exit, Dutch Co-operation with USA, Israel Co-operation to protect our Democracies from the evil in the world.
Perfect example is the FBI had information on a white Canadian terrorist who believed in ISIS who was planning a bombing in Toronto. They informed Canadian authorities the terrorist was intercepted on his way to Toronto and killed.
You want to make Page some type of "American Hero" so be it!

Exposed Donny Jr. to WHAT?

1) This doesn't matter at all. Whether they were successful or unsuccessful criminals is of zero importance.

2) Who do you think is making these bold proclamations about what the Trump team explicitly did or didn't do? Seems like everyone (except you and SD20) is in favor of an investigation to find out what happened.

Find out WHAT happened?

I think we should investigate you indefinitely to see if you have ever committed a crime. Let's review every phone conversation or email you've made in your entire life.

Ok Nate, so there is absolutely zero justification in your mind for an investigation of any sort into Trump. This is all the Deep State conspiring to take him down after they somehow failed to prevent him from getting elected with genius tactics such as re-opening investigations into Hillary Clinton and publicly disclosing them.

Again, why weren't you furious Nunes et al re-authorized 702 and expanded FISA? This is the tool they're using to enact their coup - why weren't you front and center railing against this?

Yes it does! Listening to rumors is not a crime. You don't go to jail for failing to inform the FBI about a conversation with a Russian. You go to jail if you offer some kind of quid pro quo in exchange for Russian assistance. But THERE WAS NO RUSSIAN ASSISTANCE IN THE FIRST PLACE.

We don't know exactly what Trump did, but we have a pretty good idea of what they believed he might have done before they opened up an investigation, and it was diddily-squat.

Cool. But conspiring to commit a crime is a crime my dude.

You never read the conversations about what brought on the meetings!
Plus who's word do we have about this Donny Trump!!!! Oh yes and what Donny Sr. dictated!

yes!! exactly!! none what so ever!! None! zero zip milch nada nothing!! there is no evidence that anyone in the campaign colluded with russians because there was no quid pro quo at the top.

whatever carter page and paapdochabgolous were up to was on there own. there was nothing from Trump himself or trumps immediate people. Even if bannon or manaforte made deals then thats on them. not trump unless they come out and it came from trump.

and if you have that??????? if you got??? let's impeach the mutherphucker!!!!!! we all agree...if dont??? if you got nothing???? then lets move the phuck on from Trump and allow him to fully govern.

you already have CNN n msnbc breahting down his neck 24/7. is that not enough?? your base got the damn message already.
like i said, its a full rebuild.

So far, yes, there is zero justification to be investigating Trump. If somebody has some justification, I would like to see it. There are about 10 of you fanatically rabid Trump-hating liberals on this board, and none of you can produce any justification.

Regarding the FISA act, I appear to have given you the impression that I have unyielding faith in it. I don't. I wasn't a big fan of the initial Patriot Act but went along with it because it's provisions were sunsette. Unfortunately, they keep getting extended. That said, I do think the NSA has a role in protecting our nation and we need to find a way to utilize it's powers for good without abusing it for evil. The FISA act seemed to be a good faith effort in doing so, but it has apparently failed. I would definitely be in favor of re-evaluating the oversight methods in place, but that doesn't mean it should be scrapped completely.

No, because even if Natalia Veselnitskaya came to the office and said, "Donny, we have all this dirt on Trump, here you go", that's not a crime either. It only becomes a crime if Trump offers her something in return. What is Trump supposed to do, run screaming from the room with his fingers in his ears? A campaign official doesn't have a legal obligation to run to the FBI every time he talks to a Russian, even if the Russian has information.

If that was a crime, than Hillary Clinton should be in jail for listening to foreign operators like that Ukrainian guy, or even Christopher Steele.

Sessions blames opioid crisis on marijuana!
Speaking at the Heritage Foundation to the Reagan Alumni Association this week, Sessions argued that cutting prescriptions for opioid painkillers is crucial to combating the crisis — since some people started on painkillers before moving on to illicit opioids like heroin and fentanyl. But then he expanded his argument to include cannabis.

While people’s first illicit drug is often marijuana, researchers have cautioned that there’s no solid evidence that marijuana use causes harder drug use. It’s possible, instead, that people use pot before other drugs simply because marijuana is more accessible than other illegal substances; after all, many people’s first drugs are alcohol or tobacco, which are both legal (for adults) and relatively easy to get, and we don’t assume that will lead to heroin use.

In July 1st marijuana becomes legal across Canada treated no differently than alcohol.

No, I'm pointing out that you have this wildly conspiratorial explanation that the Deep State is trying to take down Overlord Trump with sham investigations, yet you were totally fine with congress empowering them with 702 reauthorization. You claim the OBAMA JUDGES are CORRUPT and wielding their authority nefariously, yet again, you were totally 100% a-okay with FISA reauth.

Your posts on this topic are pure concern trolling. You're shrieking about Daddy Trump being investigated because you know they're going to find a bunch of really bad stuff.

I've never said a negative thing about the FISA judges. They permitted the warrant because they were deliberately mislead by a corrupt FBI and DOJ. And I never said I was 100% A-okay with FISA re-authorization. I only said that the FISA system, or something like it, is a valuable tool to fight against domestic terrorism. I would be against scrapping it completely.

Nate answer one simple question!
Why hasn't Trump put sanctions on Russia that were overwhelming passed by both the Senate and the House. He signed the bill and is basically in contempt for not implementing it?
What is his justification?

Because Trump doesn't want to unnecessarily provoke a trade war or a real war with a nuclear power. Or because Trump wants to work with Russia to triangulate against a much greater threat: China. Or because Trump sees Russia as a possibly ally in the war on Islamic extremism.

But isn't Trump breaking the law and the will of the American people.
Over 90% of the legislators voted on it representing 90% + of the American people!
He only represents less people than Hillary Clinton.
What trade war can Russia have?
Russia is a ally of Syria & Iran?
Russia has zero influence on Chinese policy.
Islamic extremism only if affects the Russian motherland.
Pathetic

For some reason, you don't seem to understand that Trump is also a representation of the will of the American people. Certainly among Republicans, he is liked and trusted far more than Congress.

You don't seem to understand he is the most unpopular President in the 1st year of any in the History of polling where his high was slightly north of 40%. Congress & the Senate are the will of the people as well and in one of the few bipartisan moves was the Russian sanctions. He is defying the American people!

It's hilarious to watch what happens when a bunch of racist jerks implement a bunch of fascist laws to monitor, in the seventies, MLK and the Black Panthers and muslims later on with very little oversight and have the whole damn system inevitably explode in their face. Sucks to be on the receiving end of the police state doesn't it?

I'm pretty sure, given how Republican biased the FBI is, that they were EXTREMELY careful in putting their investigation of Trump together, probably more careful than they would be putting a case together against a suspected muslim terrorist. So this whole conspiracy claptrap is ludicrous (actually I can't believe we're even seriously having this conversation - OF COURSE this whole fantasy of there being a LEFT WING conspiracy in the FBI - in the FBI?!?!?!?!?! - Seriously people????). For the FBI to investigate *Trump* they must really have something. As the conservatives become more and more panicked I become more curious what exactly it is the FBI uncovered that has them so spooked. It must be reaaaaaaally good.
I've been taught all my life to value service to the weak and powerless.

No, that's not how the system works. We don't govern by polls. We govern by elections.

Also, Trump has a higher approval rating than any poll of Congress.

No one is disputing he is President!
Plus you just quoted polls.
But there is a separation of powers and he signed the bill he is obligated to obey the will of the people. The American way!
