You would think that it would not be possible for the GOP to turn up the rhetoric up a notch given the current state of things.

Then imagine a blistering defeat and the loss of the senate majority and exactly where is the grand ole party going to go?

Faced with the prospect of having to adjust their platform the GOP has embraced a move to the far right, abandoned a shared reality and drove their voter suppression and gerrymandering tactics to the extreme.

There hasn't been a coherent plan to do anything, for some time.

They have refused to govern when they had the majority in the house and senate, they have refused to play ball when they did not.

Where are the fresh faces, Stephen Miller?

Where are the new ideas, more military spending and science denial?

Scary to think of what comes next.

They're like the dog that caught the car. Now what do you do?

I imagine they think getting rid of aca and abortion rights is governing. Who cares how many Democrats die? They don't vote for us.

What's going on with COVID relief is more bizarro world from the Republicans. The House passed a $3 trillion bill... back in June. McConnell countered with a $500 billion that he's still clinging to that hasn't passed. Trump says he wants a bill bigger than the Democrats. It's like this entire situation is nothing but a joke for them. They truly do not give a f... at all. They exist only for the ability to have power - in order to amuse themselves. https://www.businessinsider.com/gop-mcconnell-trump-fundamentally-unserious-people-coronavirus-aid-bill-2020-10

Poor widdle Stevie Mnuchin is supposed to negotiate... but how could he possibly know what to negotiate for?

FYI, my daughter, the street medic, is going to send me a list of items her group believes they may need in anticipation of the possible violence and unrest following the election.

I can post (a link to donate) it here if anyone is interested.

This please!

In conversation with her yesterday, she talked about how activists are concerned about being
targeted by law enforcement for their activities so they are keeping somewhat to the down low.
Because of this, she described the street medics donation thing as being more like a wedding registry.

here is a FB post she put up yesterday (she doesn't post a lot there)

not-so-fun fact: DC police recently spent $130,000 on tear gas in anticipation of "riots" in November. $130,000!
If you find yourself pissed off about this, there is a way you can help! While we may not be able to stop police from using chemical weapons on civilians, there are acts of community care we can all do to lessen the pain these weapons inflict. DC Street Medic Collective is currently asking for donated supplies to help protesters stay safe and treat injuries from police violence this November. I know this is a hard financial time for many people, but if you are able to help, please consider purchasing something from the DC Street Medic Collective amazon wishlist (linked below). These supplies go DIRECTLY to street medics working to provide medical care to injured protesters. If you have questions about the kinds of care street medics provide, please feel free to ask!
If you are iffy on buying things from amazon (respect! **** jeff bezos!) you can donate directly to ShutDownDC, an organization that supports activists and protesters in DC taking direct action to defend democracy. (link in comments)

Thanks FAH

This is obviously very encouraging. It quickly became urban legend that pollsters are suck
after 2016. As I may have said before, this is because john/joan q public doesn't understand
how to interpret what the polls say. So that said, Golfy McBonespurs had about a 1/4 chance
of winning. Assuming I understand this as well as I think I do, this CA polling would put his
chance at about 1/21. IOW, a lot worse.

This Cawthorn character... would have been sent straight to the gas chambers under his hero's regime, there was no room for differently abled people in the third reich..

He's either trolling or willfully ignorant.

Probably both.

He looks exactly like a young Tom Brady gone wrong. Gotta admit - these backwoods/backwards Christian conservative colleges bother the heck out of me.

He’s another grifter in the Trump orbit who lied about his background.

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

there are no jaw-dropping stories any more. he could pull of his mask to reveal that he is an actual lizard person and it'd register like a 6/10.

6 out of 10 Republicans say that is a good quality in a president. 2 out of 10 Democrats pegged that in pre-election predictions. So no big deal for a lot of us.

Conclusive proof that Trump has ever selflessly done anything for anyone, now that would raise some eyebrows.

Well, here is an example of Trump doing just that...

Assume you meant Biden, not Trump, but maybe you meant that Trump had selflessly conceded to Biden any claim to empathy and compassion, which, like selflessness, are qualities of weakness for losers. You sure that kid isn't a professional Antifa Riot Bus crisis actor on the Soros payroll? It looks a little too unpracticed and sincere to be unpracticed and sincere.

No, what this video shows is Joe Biden stroking and kissing a mentally disabled orphan. Because his dad isn't there to stop it from happening. Because he is in fact part of a democratic pedophilia ring. Because he wasn't actually trying to comfort him, he was checking to see if he was tender, ripe even. He was tasting him to see if he was still young and fresh enough for his blood to rejuvenate and reinvigorate him.

Most Trump followers would laugh as Trump makes fun of the kid at one of his rallies.
