@MrDCsports LOL hell yeah kanter and vesely are the 2 options they invited turkish people as well

i was just wondering whether the turkish or lithuanian embassy staff was invited as well.

i would have been pissed if they werent waiting to see if kanter and valenwhatshis were actually taken.

i can live with vesley if the other two are taken but gotta keep hope alive (it's all we have)
Until Grunfeld goes there is no rebuild.

San Diego State folks invited as well. Not a fan of Leonard.

Sure, if Hands had his way and all repubs were executed and dems were allowed a nationwide Kumbaya sing along.

Ain't excited but apparently the Wiz have wanted him for a while so I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt (yea, I'm an idiot) and assume they know what they're doing. Even if he ends up being a piece of **** he's our piece of ****. Can't say I'm excited about pick number 6 though. I wasn't sold on Kanter either so if we aren't getting Williams, it is what it is, and McGee and #6 (plus 34?) would have been way too much. I guess I'm drinking until about pick 13 and then getting the game face on.

If nothing else, Wall on the break with Vesely on one wing and McGee on the other should lead to some nice You Tube clips........and Sullinger this time next year.

Honestly, I don't see any silver lining to it, but I'll try to develop an open mind on him and keep my mouth shut when he does inevitably stink game in and game out.

That sounded open-minded, right? 8-)

It's a bad day - I got laid off at work, and the Wiz are picking the 1 guy I was afraid they would. Things can only get better.

Sorry to read this Ruz, what a bad omen indeed. What kind of work do you do?

You ARE in my prayers Ruz!! Something better is on the horizon. Been there, done that! A window closes, a door opens!!

OK, back to the draft.......I'm a HUGE DWill fan, but wasn't in agreement of trading McGee to get him. Saying that, I'd be happy moving Blatche to get Kanter. If not and we stay put, I'm cool with getting the next Tom Chambers....i.e. Jan Vesely. For the record, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. My other choice would be to draft Jonas, if he's there, and wait that year while he developes overseas. Other than that, let's get ready for some picks y'all!!

I'd take Jonas V. over Vessly in an instant. If Tor. takes Biyombo, maybe we trade down to a team who wants either?

With rumors of Toronto taking Biyombo, hopefully some trade down scenarios come up for Brandon Knight

Oh well...plan b?

Honestly, I'd rather have Knight than Vessly. Knight is a good shooter and a very good character player. He can certainly play with Wall off the ball anyways as a 3rd guard.

Ruzious, I'm just logging on. First of all, I'm sorry to hear that you're losing a job that no doubt gave you relationships you treasure and solid income. I hope you can at least stay close to people who care. Rather than see the bad, I'll offer that perhaps this can be the start of something great. I went through a job change and found unemployment, free time, and time to get re-educated to be great. Also, you'll no doubt have more time for working out, long walks, fishing--whatever. My one suggestion: Keep leaving the house/apartment the same time and stay busy. For whatever reason, I think this will turn out for your good in a big way.

As for the draft, man the Cavs are on top of things! I like Tristan Thompson and feel like he has game-changing defensive instincts. The guy is a winner. My last post last night was as much as I like Faried, I'm liking Tristan Thompson more for some reason. My gut feel this draft is Thompson, Norris Cole, Jon Leuer are among those guys who will perform far better than anticipated by most scouts.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.
