Nailed it again. Stick with me people. I got this stuff covered.

The leader of men could return.

Looks like Singleton will get shipped off if they do this. This boat is full as is, need to clear some deck chairs.

Finally, AJ off the bench. If only we could have done that before.

AJ replaces Collins as a locker room vet on a vet min. But this is far from an inked deal. Expectations need to be set.

Webby at 3/10. I think that's about what we narrowed him down to months ago. Something about 3-4M on a 2 or 3 year deal. Higher for less years but on a 3 year, I think we were looking at 3.2 to 3.5M a year.

Collison ain't coming here to be a backup. And Eric Maynor is a terrible option....why bother? OKC knows that he's done physically...that's why they aren't bothering to resign him.

Might as well focus on Nate Robinson.

Based on the list of PG's WAshington's been rumored to my preference list is as follows:

1. Nate Robinson
2. Darren Collison
3. Beno Udrih
4. AJ Price

very big gap

5. Eric Maynor

much bigger gap

6. John Lucas III

One thing that's interesting regarding PG is that nearly every team in the league has a starting PG. Teams that are looking for starters are 1. Detroit, 2. Milwaukee, 3. Dallas, 4. Atlanta, 5. Orlando (maybe), 6. Sacramento (unlikely). Bledsoe and Brandon Jennings will likely land in Dallas or Milwaukee. I suspect Calderon and Teague will respectively resign so there will be no open PG's spots in the league. Not only that, but CJ Watson sort of set the bar for backup PG's with the LLE today. The market for backup PG is DEEP and they'll be fighting for scraps after too long. I think the Wizards will get a quality player as long as they don't do something stupid like bring in Eric freakin Maynor. Guy sucks, he's the Chris Singleton of PG's.

Where do you think Collison will start?

I think for a scoring PG Washington has to be one of the best options. Wall can defend the SG, so the guard can back-up both guard positions if they have good scoring/shooting ability.

I wouldn't mind Collison for the right price. His value took a big shot last season as he was expected to do well in Dallas and instead became reportedly on the outs with Rick Carlisle. Apparently, he hasn't been well-liked by any of his former NBA coaches.

His reputation, nowadays, is that he can put up decent numbers but struggles defensively and at controlling the tempo on offense. With that said, at 2-3mil per year for a year or two, it can't be a bad signing and is certainly better than AJ Price, John Lucas the eighteenth or Eric Maynor.

I'd still prefer Nate Robinson, though. He's one of those competitors you want on your side, whether the shot is falling or not.

Ariza isn't a 2 at all IMO. He can probably play some 4, but definitely not a 2. Either way there's a logjam that has to be sorted through.

I wouldn't call Ariza a 2, but he can pretty much play 1-4 defensively.
Offensively he doesn't have the handles of a good 2 but he's got pretty
much everything else and better rebounding. TA had some nice games on
the boards for us.

The only way it can work (unless there's already something lined up for Eric Gordon) is with they cut all their unguaranteed guys -- including Robin Lopez and Jason Smith.

I'd be interested in both of those guys a the right number.

Robin Lopez at the right number sounds like a plan.

I don't think I would pay Evans that kind of money. WT has it at 48mil/FOUR (edit) yr!

A typical Ernie Grunfled move—instead of using time and resources on courting players that can actually contribute, he makes moves for Eric Maynor. Right now, Maynor should consider the d-league to actually rehab from his injury. Only a FO like the Wizards FO would even consider signing him to a contract.

Maynor oughta be a good pickup. Wonder how much he's getting.
C U later AJ Price.

I like Collison a lot. Jarret Jack? How much is he gonna end up getting?
He's a guy I'd wanna talk to. Jack local. Maynor sorta local (VCU?).

Udrih 3rd? IDK.

Apparently the BAE, although the 2nd year is a player option. Not a bad pick-up for the price.

I predict a HUGE spike in Richmond viewership for the Wizards. I'll leave all other predictions to the experts.
