Agreed, whomever they got those quotes from must be trolling. Or Noah's agent posing as an "unnamed GM/source".

I almost hope this happens.

Ted Leonsis deserves the worst possible fate for being so stubborn in keeping Ernie.

So go ahead and give Noah a max contract. Let him play 30 games next year and get shut down due to injury. Watch the attendance numbers plummet. When were 20-39 and Wall asks for a trade let's see how stubborn Leonsis is then.

No one deserves egg on their face more than Leonsis' smug ass.

This reminds me of a rumor from about 2006 or 2007 that they were about to trade for Stephon Marbury that turned out to be an agent blowing smoke or something.

It could be Ernie inoculating the fan base against the move they ultimately make (i.e. "well at least they didn't max out Noah").
