One thing he'll do is stretch the field - he's a slightly poor-man's DJax, and the Skins had a need for that type of WR. And like DJax, he's oft-injured and doesn't block well. With the lack of quality free agent WR's and the draft lacking 1st round talent at WR, the Skins likely had to over-pay to get him.

The Skins can complain about injuries, but when they sign a guy like Richardson, they're almost asking for an injury. Let's hope the Skins get lucky in that area. Richardson, Doctson, and Reed staying healthy most of the season is unlikely but necessary. Crowder's the smallest of them, but he stays healthy. Go to him more.

The only thing Richardson has in common with Desean Jackson is that neither blocks or goes down the middle of the field.

And both are injury prone.

I have seen Richardson make accrobatic catches on deep throws, and he has that ability to track the deep throws that's made DJax effective. Has he produced like DJax? Not even close - though last season was a start - and he actually produced more than DJax.

Ouch, I don't mind losing Breland, Grant, and Murphy, but Long was really looking like an up and coming center. Oh well, that's probably one of the easiest positions to fill.

The wide receiver market is very inflated this year because there are very few good players in the draft. As a Ravens fan, we needed a guy like Landry or Allen Robinson, but wound up with Grant due to the price.

They absolutely needed to keep him. He's so physically superior to their other ILBers. If he stays healthy and plays consistently, he's a stud. But will he stay healthy and play consistently?
