Add in Harrington and you have $4.3M in wasted cap space. There wasn't one good FA we could have signed for $4.3M?? Not one that would have broken the Gortat/Nene/Wall/Beal/Ariza/Webster/ group? Sigh...

Actually, both Maynor (LLE) and Harrington (vet minimum) were signed with exceptions. There was no "cap space" involved so we couldn't actually have signed someone for $4.3M.

Correct, poor English... point was that there was 4.3M spent on nothing... EG couldn't hit on one of three players.

Corollary is all of EGs picks sans Wall and Beal.

This has to go down as one of the worst signings ever.
Never seen a guy get signed so quickly (ASAP) to be benched so quickly (ASAP)

Benched for Garrett Fin Temple of all people...

Sometimes I wonder whether EG actually made him work out for the team or whether EG just looked up his youtube VCU mixes.

You can't let pesky details like a work-out or scouting against NBA competition get in your way when you have a hot free agent like Maynor.

I'm sure Grunfeld has always liked Maynor.

Seriously though.

Would love to be a fly on the wall. Can't imagine there is peace behind closed doors. Ted can't like EG getting Maynor for 2M for 2 years and Flip won't even play him over Temple. He has to be either pissed at EG or pissed at Flip. Maybe both. Worst cause would be he is pissed at neither. That would mean he doesn't give a sht.

As bad as Maynor has been this season, Temple has been at least as bad, if not worse. It's kinda scary that Grunfeld and the front office could so fundamentally misjudge TWO backup PGs. It's almost like they don't really know how to evaluate players.

Honestly one of the worst players I've ever seen.

I'd rather see Tyrone Nesby play the point.

I generally abstain from feeding the monkeys, but I'm convinced you're either Maynor, his booty call, 5 yrs old, or just that stupid.

Perhaps even worse, we could be looking at all of the above.
