Not a fan. A little too small and a little too slow to get the job done at the NBA level.

Can't anybody explain what we got in return for trading down from #37?

Winston is a steal, IMO. I've watched him play a lot. Yes, he is short, but he is smart. He will surprise a lot of us.

Wow. Assuming we get a future 2nd as well, we had a really good draft. Winston is a pro and runs the 2nd unit immediately.

According to Aldridge, 53 this year plus a future 2nd rounder from OKC

Excellent!

If it's the 2021 OKC pick that should be pretty good. 2021 is reportedly a strong draft and OKC is likely to miss the playoffs in a brutal western conference. We don't have a 2021 pick as it stands now.

Since we have Ish, I'd have preferred a backup PG with a bit more upside, even if it took another year to develop him. Dotson would have been the better choice IMO.

It doesn't really matter though. Picks in the 50's never amount to anything.

YODA rates Winston as “borderline undraftable”.

Seems like an awesome dude. I’m rooting for him to succeed. But from a numbers standpoint, it sure doesn’t bode well.

Jalen Smith went tenth.

Y’all were WRONG AS HELL PRE DRAFT. Someone just STOLE A future stud.

All he did was own The BigTen.

I posted about him.

CLEARLY BETTER THAN RUI

All your stuff about hip bend, knee bend etc....Geez.

Dude’s a two way player who’s going to be really good.

There is no space for Jalen Smith on this team, we’re focused on guys who do everything but shoot and defend, guys who play hard and have high IQ... whatever that means.

:)

What’s crazy is Smith is a darn good shooter with legit NBA three point range. He’s a tremendous finisher, near the top in efficiency in the NCAA. He is also a very good rebounder and a good shot blocker.

He’s a POWER FORWARD. Just like Michael Porter Jr, he’s going to be a force right away because he’ll rebound and stretch the floor.

I feel vindicated that at least one team didn’t let him fall into the 20s.

He’s going to become a very good NBA player.

I would've preferred Dotson.

Lol, they go from a terrible pick at 37 to a great value pick at 53. Winston's very solid. I'm guessing he sticks on the roster.

One of the best players in the country over the last 3 years. Absolute stud, lights out shooter, leader, alpha, character guy.

That’s a home run at 53. I would’ve been thrilled with Winston at 37. I wanted a Van Fleet type of player in round 2, this is it.

That’s an excellent move. We all had PTSD from Ernie.
