Surely you mean a "bonga-bong-3-pointer"....

Dumars rightfully got flamed for his move to get DQ, but I am hoping things work out for them long-term, I liked both Fears and Queen so I hope to see them later in the season. JP is a competitive and likes to hoop, so good luck to him too.

Two former Wizards battling for a roster spot, Garrison was 3-4 3 pointers in his first game, 1-4 the 2nd, but he appears to have the edge for a spot.

I'm happy for Mathews. He was an undrafted walk-on who has managed to stick around the NBA for 6 years now and earn over $8M.

Matthews is the only player in NBA history to come out of Lipscome Lipscomb University - a small Christian school in Tennessee with less than 3000 students. That's a heck of a Cinderella story!

"Lipscomb" not "Lipscome' but you bet he's a terrific story. His career TS% is 61.7% -- that's extraordinary for a SG!

Another undrafted guy that year has had a really solid career: Caleb Martin.
His twin brother Cody was the #36 pick by Charlotte that year. Both guys have been pretty good, but Caleb has played more & (IMO) a bit better than Cody.

Yeah I remember that the Wizards ended up taking Kispert and the Wizards ended up moving on from him. I’m wondering if Kispert has been that much better throughout that stretch.

Saddiq Bey off to a good start with the Pels.

Bey finished with a game-high 21 points to go with his six rebounds and three assists.

"I think (Saddiq) is going to be huge for our group," said Pelicans coach Willie Green. "Just having a chance to interact with him and getting to know him more. He has such a mature approach to the game.

... He’s a hard worker. You can see the difference between game one and game two. He's a guy who wants it. He wants to be good and wants to make winning plays for himself and his teammates."

Thanks for posting that, Zards -- it'd be great to see Saddiq prosper with the Pels.

Don't tell nate33 that I said Javale McGee is still better than Alwx Sarr. McGee will outperform Sarr's achievements. The Wizards would have been better starting McGee at C with Sarr at PF.

It's Monday, October 6, 2025. I'm bored. Those statements should get some blowback.

Hopefully he spreads goodwill for the Wiz organization. They treated him well, paid him to rehab, then traded him for value. Tough to keep track of everything that goes out and comes back in trade but to ship Poole and Bey to get back McCollum and Whitmore looks like a good return.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington Wizards announced today they have acquired guard CJ McCollum, center/forward Kelly Olynyk, forward Cam Whitmore, and a second-round pick (2027 via Chicago) as part of the agreement to trade guard Jordan Poole, forward Saddiq Bey, and the draft rights to Micah Peavy, the 40th overall selection in the 2025 NBA Draft, to the New Orleans Pelicans, as well as two second-round draft picks to the Houston Rockets (2026 via Chicago and 2029 via Sacramento).

Funny we shipped the 2026 Bulls pick and got back the 2027 Bulls pick.

So we shipped out JP, a rebuilt Bey, the Suns #40 and the Kings 2029 pick. For Cam and CJ.

Sounds like our #32 pick Noah Penda is looking good for the Magic. We lost him in the trade that netted us Kuzma, KCP, Trez, Dinwiddie, Aaron Holiday and Isaiah Todd.

Thanks Tommy. Well. At least we got Middleton and AJJ out of it.

In two preseason games so far, Deni is averaging 24 points, 12 boards, 4 assists, 2 turnovers per 36 minutes on a .604 TS%

& Jordan Goodwin -- who was one of my faves.

& Maluach! How about that kid? Doc's fave (with me just tagging along).

I have had the Suns as likely to be absolutely awful this season. But maybe I've been wrong....
