If you want a picture of the future, imagine a chair being pulled on Roy Hibbert - forever.

If he could hit a wide open outside shot, I would have less of a grib with him.
And if Wall was more consistent, I would also have less of a problem with him.
Combine both, and it makes me feel we need more from the back up PG.
just curious, who would you have in mind? here are the unrestricted free agent pg's this summer
Jose Calderon, Toronto Raptors – $10.6 million – Unrestricted
Devin Harris, Utah Jazz – $8.5 million – Unrestricted
Jarrett Jack, New Orleans Hornets – $5.4 million – Unrestricted
Will Bynum, Detroit Pistons – $3.3 million – Unrestricted
Jeremy Pargo, Memphis Grizzlies – $1.0 million – Unrestricted*
Earl Watson, Utah Jazz – $2.0 million – Unrestricted
Sebastian Telfair, Phoenix Suns – $1.6 million – Unrestricted
Daniel Gibson, Cleveland Cavaliers – $4.8 million – Unrestricted
C.J. Watson, Chicago Bulls – $3.2 million – Unrestricted
i could see maybe jarret jack or cj watson as a good backup to push wall

That's almost as disturbing at Wall's stats. I'm still at work (even more disturbing) and can't watch the game. What's up with Wall? Is he coming down with the plantar fascitis virus?

Re: Wizards vs Pacers
Its not about Wall playing bad. Its something else. He's playing bad because he just seems disengaged right now. He has like a blank look on his face and he doesnt even seem to be trying at all times. Maybe all the minutes & the dog days have caught up to him. I kinda think he has maybe checked out and just wants the season to end.
I wouldnt bench him though. I would give him a chance to redeem himself. I think the long 2nd quarter benching was enough to get the hint. I also often wonder do our coaches say anything to our players. Sometimes you need to tell him that he's playing like crap or that he needs to ball harder so they get the point

There are also players in the draft.
I would have to look over that list. No Jose. I hate him. Good player but I hate him.
Also add Livingston to the list. Though he may not be a FA. I would have to check.

Re: Wizards vs Pacers
he is but i didn't think he was pg. thought it was a mistake i saw him on there lol . i always though he was a 2 or 3 for some reason. him and mack are also unrestricted. only 2 players i left off.
no pg's in the draft will push wall imo. kendall marshall is regarded as the best pg in the draft i believe. i'm not sure he's even an upgrade over mack.

Actually I think it is playing stupid and trying to redeem himself that is a large part of why he is playing bad. Lack of curtain skills and ego is a bad combination.

I don't know what it is, but I agree. Is he being petulant? I would say he lacks confidence, but most of his mistakes are of the out-of-control or quick shot variety.
Maybe he is just tired. Mental fatigue happens to the best of us.

He is playing like Gil did when he wasnt getting fouls. He is playing to get fouled.
He needs to play counting on not getting the foul. Play smarter.
If refs are not giving it to you, shoving it in their faces doesn't usually win them over.

Referees don't give calls to guys who play out of control. That's true at every level of basketball.

You might have nailed it, hands. That seems right. He's playing his own game but keeps making the same dumb mistakes. Leaving his feet, stopping his dribble, spotting up from three, putting his head down and driving even when there's no screener or numbers. Wall is doing his best Javale imitation.
Ironically, he was the happiest when McGee got traded.

He doesn't make enough quality plays on a consistent basis to earn their respect.
