Now it really sucks because the Wiz are famous for having just one thing derail them. Gil could be on a hot streak, something strange would happen or a lil tweak and he would be so mentally weak that he would go into a streak of bad play. Same with Dray. When we traded everyone and he started beasting. He then had a minor tweak to his ankle and then became average after that.

Now I fear the same with Wall. He was on the top of his game sooo much and now this kinda throws off his rythm. It would suck if he started looking like crap after this. Ill be watching him close in the Grizz game but hopefully he's not as mentally weak as those guys.

What would really help him is the team being fully healthy. Cant stand watching him make great passes and guys cant finish or make wide open shots

Getting tossed for one game is not going to throw a guy's career progression off track. If Wall regresses, what that probably means is he was playing well in a small sample size and had never made a leap to begin with.

I think that's a distinct possibility, but I hope--and am gaining more hope each game--that he actually has improved.

It would have been a lot more interesting though if he said I'll knock your ass out although I guess it was implied.

I didnt say career. I just meant starting like a 5 game average to bad stretch

Na he said it. Before he got in his face you can hear him under the basket say: Go to the basket again I'll knock your ass out.

There's the video of it. Can clearly hear him say "I'll knock your ass out".

Honestly don't blame John one bit. Someone gives you a forearm shiver you've gotta assert yourself. Just too bad he already picked up that tech complaining about the moving screens.

Happy to see the passion.

This is where Randy has to get involved and too often he avoids a tech. If Randy has snapped to he officials, Wall would not have had the time to get up and walk over to Klay. He needed to preemptivey defend his player.

Have to agree. Can't see Doc Rivers letting that happen without reacting....or D'Antoni / Woodson etc.

After watching that, let's just be happy Wall didn't deck Thompson.

What, you don't think NBA refs have NBA egos? Especially the "big names" like Joey Crawford.

I think it's a stretch to suggest that Wall getting thrown out last night''s game will have an impact on how he performs in even the next game.

Agreed. If anything, Wall will play even better next game because he's mad.

Poor Garrett Temple. That guy has had to log so many minutes because the rest of our backcourt is gone.

No Crawford? Just put in Garrett Temple. Beal hurt? Just play Temple 48 minutes a game. Wall ejected? Just play Garrett Temple for 96 minutes a game. Oh, wait...

If Price is really injured and out for an extended period, then WHY are the wizards holding on the Barbosa? They should just release him and sign a D-league PG to grab some PT. Are the Wiz too cheap have hoarding the saved insurance money to do this?

I was thinking the same thing as I was watching the end of last night's game. In fact, I said to myself "Man, Temple is really going to enjoy the rest he's going to get on that long flight back to DC from Cali."

But I'm guessing that Garrett is enjoying every minute of his chance to play at the NBA level and maybe show the Zards (or some other team) that he belongs on the roster. I hope the Zards keep him. As I've said before, I like Garrett's size, smarts, defense and composure. And his shot has improved in leaps and bounds.

We're also beginning to see more leadership from Garrett as he has grown more comfortable with his teammates. Last night, I saw him bark at a vet teammate (I believe it was Okafor) for being out of position.

At least he's starting to take more attempts in the paint vs. taking the 15 ft'er all the time.

Saw at least one screen set on Wall for Curry that would've been very legal and a thing of beauty if it took place in the NFL. No whistle.

There are so many games, including last night's, where the Wizards as a whole have not gotten calls that they clearly should've and they've been forced to just play on. There's far more evidence that suggests that Wall has composure than that he doesn't.

Oh, some have the ego. My point is that they shouldn't. It's not their place, it gets in the way of their job, and it hurts the game.

Hopefully last night's ejection has an impact on the way the refs call fouls for the Wizards and its star players from this point on. They seemed to acknowledge the offensive foul a bit more after Wall's ejection.

I think Wall out of frustration unintentionally took one for the team and it may pay off down the line.

Didn't Crawford once T Duncan for a silent smirk on the bench? That guy is a loose cannon. He's got a little of the Naked Gun umpire in him.
