Who are 2nd and 10th in the league in defensive efficiency, respectively.

Since his cold start -- the first 11 games of the season, John has an Ortg of 109 on 29% usage with a TS% of .553.

Over that span he's averaging 22 ppg, 8 apg, 4 rpg, 2 steals, 46% from the field and 34% from 3.

And it still feels like he could be even better. People keep talking about his speed but he's also one of the biggest and strongest PGs in the league. He's physical mismatch on many nights at his position, as he learns to use his size in combination with his speed he's going to be a regular MVP candidate.

I got dismissed for pointing that out this summer. Most people think of Westbrook as a tank. Last year he was playing at just under 190 pounds and Wall was playing at around 210. John has a thick build and people do overlook his strength because he's not as stacked looking in the upper body, and he's so fast and fluid. He doesn't play defense like a PG though. And he absorbs a ton of contact without missing a beat.

They're stupid for not taking Wall. There are a lot of lesser players on that list than him. Including some of the PGs.

But I actually don't mind if Wall doesn't play USA basketball. It's a big offseason commitment.

Wall's inability to shoot makes him a liability in the Olympic game. The other PGs are all much better shooters. I'd rather he have his summers off anyway.

His shooting is why he isn't on the team. But I really don't understand why he wouldn't make the 1st cut considering the national team thives when they create turnovers and get out in transition. I also don't understand how Rose and Deron Williams make this list given their injuries (Rose) and injuries/ineffectivenes (Deron).

IIRC, Wall played like crap during the team USA minicamp in the offseason. Irving outplayed him in that exhibition game. Coach K also may be biased towards Irving because he coached him but I also think Irving's ability to knock down 3s will give him a chance to compete better in the international game.

Rose made it from because of how well he played on that world championship team. Williams made it because he was on the 2012 Olympic National team. In reality Wall is a better candidate than either of them.

Millie, Walls 2012-13 season was actually his best year yet mostly because he was attacking the basket and drawing fouls. He also made significant strides over the year to reduce his turnovers and ended the year red hot. His per 36 minutes were also the best of his career.

I rank him anywhere between 6-8 currently.

I think it's safe to say he's the best pg in the east.

Wall isn't a top 5 pg. He can be but his inefficiency, turnovers and inconsistent D are holding him back.

Teague and Lillard have a TS of 61%. That is 10% higher than Wall. In fact the Wizards team TS is 54.4%, 3% better than Wall. He needs to bring that percentage up to be a top 5 pg.

I still put Westbrook, Curry, Paul above him. Lowry has been amazing this year, so he gets the nod over Wall. After that it's a matter of preference, I can't fault anyone's fifth best PG. You need a shooter, go with Irving or Lillard. You prefer a PG with a great floor game Wall is your man. Parker is still great, and don't forget about the three headed monster in Phoenix

It is just his lack of offensive efficiency that is holding him back. As a play-maker and passer I think he is top 5. If he can just score more efficiently his potential is great.

Lowry is the best PG in the East and currently the second best player in the East. Dude is playing insanely well.

I'm not sure- wall still has a way to go. Lowry has been playing well as well as Irving- although I would certainly say Wall has had a better season than Irving. Wall can get there if he plays like he has the past couple of games but the caveat is that Miami, Denver, and the LA Lakers are not good defensive teams.

Wall is the catalyst for the offense and defense. He impacts the defense unlike any other point guard in the league. His defense ignites the break and momentum. With the depth of the wizards, his pace is like throwing body punches atother teams. As long as Wall is confident and Beal healthy, I'll take our bbackcourt over Curry and Thompson.
