(TOO MUCH TIME ON MY HANDS IF I'M RESEARCHING THIS) :D

According to BasketFeminin.com (link in French), Meesseman will report to Washington for the remainder of the Mystics’ training camp on May 10 after the Russian season is over. She will play in Washington until the Belgian national team has a tournament in Italy starting on May 26. Meesseman will then miss every Mystics game until EuroBasket Women is over on June 25. After, she should be back in Washington.

I watched the Dallas game (played in front of what looked like maybe a thousand fans).

I wanted to love it. I really did. But, it was kind of boring, largely because the refereeing was so dang awful.

The WNBA seems to have this really weird rule about malicious intent or some such nonesense.

On what I recall were like two out of three possessions, Mystics players drove hard to the hoop, got fouled while shooting...then after video review were awarded free throws AND assessed technical fouls.

Officials ruled that the Mystics players had used their off hands to try to hurt the defender. Crazy.

And it took forever. After interminable reviews, free throws were shot on both sides of the court.

All rhythm and flow was lost.

The Mystics have some very good players, but as of now it looks pretty disjointed. Hopefully by the end of the season they'll be able to establish better rhythm and flow.

It'll take roughly the whole season due to all of the new players they brought it, but Delle Donne is so good she can carry the load while they gel.

Big measuring stick game tonight against Minnesota, 7PM, CSN. Turn it on for a little, Minnesota is a really good team.

So much for that measuring stick. They fit in perfectly with the other bridesmaids in Washington.

Way too early to say that.

They're incorporating lots of new players. Also missing their second best player (overseas commitment).

Oh, I just saw the boxscore. EDD did not play due to a groin strain.

Emma Meesseman leads Belgium to their first FIBA World Cup berth after 79-66 win over Italy

We also saw Emma in beast mode while the Belgian Cats made history!

Fun ride while it lasted, but there's no way we beat Minnesota.
