BTW, John should not throw an ally-oop when Gobert is in the game. Kind of dumb and he's attempted two.

I wonder if we're trying to miscast him as a creator. Perhaps that aspect of his game has been overstated.

Remember, Ernie put together our bench, last season and this. Remember, Ernie sought to acquire Burke.

Have to run against this team. Can't beat them in the halfcourt w/o Beal on the floor.

Gobert has a lot do with that.

Lerch might be the worst ref in the NBA.

It's not just Gobert. He's the linchpin, but the entire team plays excellent D. They rotate well. They anticipate passing lanes; they're handsy when defending the pick and roll. Multiple players have a good nose for the ball.
I can see why they determined that Trey "Olé" Burke wasn't a good fit for their identity.

If only we had a backup scoring guard who could step up in situations like these.
You have Trey

Need to hit the open 3pt shooter instead of challenging Gobert when he drives like that.

You have TreyIn all honesty, though, excited to see your team play. I love Otto Porter, glad to see he hit his stride. Hopefully in the offseason your starters all get some decent backups.
Nope, no more money after the signings they made last year.

They are all good, especially Hill but they can afford to take chances, go for steals. It must be nice to have the best rim protector in the game back there, while we have none.

Yeah, I was being sarcastic. Our entire board was clamoring for a backup combo guard to replace/bench Burke in the rotation; instead, EG traded for a SF. It's a whole thing.

Burke was 0-2 with no other stats, -6 in 4 minutes. LOL
