So perhaps Dawkins/Winger are looking to be good next season at the very least.

Probably not because the Wizards pick from the Westbrook trade is only top 8 protected in 2026.

Poole is still here too. So until they move Poole, the cancer is still here. And no, I don't believe that Poole is a positive influence, no matter how hard the Gizzards FO tries to positively spin Poole's presence.

This is incredibly unfair to Poole who has played well for us this year

Yeah…calling a guy who is reportedly a hard worker and good teammate a “cancer” is over the top.

They would have been more upset if they had given-up Tyler Smith, which they did not

I think most Bucks fans like AJ more than Smith but it's not 100% of us. AJ's flashes are definitely more exciting than Tyler's to this point IMO.

I already said whatever comes out from this front office on Poole is crap to me. I can just look at Poole the player to know he's a cancer. He chucks bad shots, doesn't play within the offense, and he stands like a statue on defense. That's nowhere close to being a good teammate, however you want to spin that. If you've played a lick of basketball in your life, you'd know that there's nothing worse than playing with someone who just shoots everytime they touch the ball, and then stands around on defense.

Middleton appears to be physically done, but his numbers vs. Kuz this year are significantly better. It's obvious he tries and cares.

As Brogdon is likely gone in the offseason I wouldn't mind keeping him around if he wants to embrace the role of mentor for our youngins. And in the scenario he is healthy by the next trade deadline, he could be flipped somewhere for additional small compensation.

Middleton's jumper remains excellent and he's always been an underrated passer (though his ballhandling is sometimes sloppy enough that it gets him into trouble). The defense and finishing at the rim has pretty much completely left him at this point as a result of the injuries; he's a smart player and physically big player, so in the right matchup, he can survive defensively, but more often than not, he just can't keep up with most teams anymore. Probably one of my top 3 favorite Bucks all-time though and will forever be a hero for helping win us the title a few years ago.

Well, at least he is "mentoring" our youngsters to play the same way...

I think the Wizards found a gem in AJ Johnson. He's only 20.

Doclinkin will love that AJ Johnson grew from 5'10 1/2" to 6'5" since 2020.

His last game was a career best 12 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists. With 2/4 three point shots.

Washington finally won a trade.

This. It was a really good trade for the Wiz. Pick Swap, we will see. We could flip Middelton, we will see. But picking up another FRP, well done and it gives us more flexibility at next years' trade deadline.

From Milwaukee's point of view. They probably like it as well. Johnson would just rot on the bench, Middelton is done and Kuzma might actually play well alongside Dame and the Greek Freak. Kuzma gets to slide back to SF and be a tertiary ball handler.

Kuz would be better off coming off the bench so he can have more freedom and get his numbers up. If he plays with the starting unit, he's option 3(b) with Brook Lopez, shooting corner 3's.

Well, TGW is not known for the moderate tone of his posts! :)

OTOH, it is mythological to say that Jordan "has played well... this year." He's been better than last year, that's for sure! But that doesn't amount to "good."

His shooting has been above average for sure. But, his turnovers essentially nullify any advantage his shooting gives him.

I wish he would take hold. He'd be a big plus for us....

With the addition of AJ Johnson the Zards now have four 19-20 yr olds from the first round of the 2024 draft.

Don’t know how any of these youngins’ will turn out, but when you’re rebuilding it’s smart to have as many bites of the apple as possible.

POOLE IS AN AMAZING HUMAN BEING WHO LOVES CATS

ALL HAIL POOLE

Yes a pass first pg would be a better fit but he's not a fricking "cancer" who's holding anybody back. He contributes, he's a good person. JHC people.
