I've been stunned by Miller's rebounding so far. I was expecting more of a perimeter gunner, not someone who if anything has deferred too much, and been an absolute monster on the boards.

Blatche is a beast. My goodness! They've shown no ability to stop him.
Always remember, my friend: the world will change again. And you may have to come back through everywhere you've been.

nice try with the flop, Miller. You didn't get the loose ball foul, but I liked the fact that you tried.

Re: Home Opener: Nets @ Wizards (10-31-09)
Other than Blatche working hard in the offseason, I think the biggest change is that he doesn't have to play center this year with Wood, Oberto and Javale around. He's really a face-the-basket four and he's too quick for a lot of the big men he's facing. Of course, somebody will stick a Garnett on him and he'll get shut down, but there aren't many KGs out there. I know it's only 3 games, but he's finally becoming a player.

This is the best passing I've seen since....sorry guys, the Howard-Webber years (debacle).

It's a combination of that, general maturity, and not insignificantly, coaching. He's going straight up on his jumpers now, whereas in years past he go up wildly out of control, doing a lame impersonation of a young MJ. Not to rag on EJ, but this coaching staff just seems much better, all the way down to the assistants.

Blatche is absolutely abusing whoever is guarding him.

This is the best passing Wiz team Ive ever seen. Ever. Seriously. Also, Foye is starting to look better at the PG each game

I think DeBrick just injured Miller.
Miller led all guards in rebounds last year. I think with Caron and Jamison out, there's a lot of rebounds to be had. One thing though I have to admit is that I wasn't exactly studying the guy when he was with Minnesota or Memphis, two teams that hardly ever play on national tv. He's a better all-around player than I thought.

When all else fails, just chuck the ball towards the rim and assume McGee will get it.

Alley-oop as-soon as McGee enters the game.

I know the Nets are awful, even with Devin Harris, but this is stunning victory in the 2nd of a back-to-back without TJ and AJ.

Now, that's what you do to lesser teams...even w/o your two allstars.

Re: Home Opener: Nets @ Wizards (10-31-09)
Blatche has been our 2nd best player so far this season. Stunning!
Arenas looks good. Really good. We've gotten the best case scenario in terms of his comeback thus far. I don't think he's quite as explosive as before but his craftiness and skill make him as good as ever.

If we can get 12 or so minutes for McGee a game, that really going to help us later in the year.
Thats still our whole. We need deep at center and I dont want it to be Blatche moving there so we need McGee to develop. That the story behind the story.
Blatche is our second leading scorer so far. Amazingly good news.
