Oh man, a bat snuck into the house and started flying around in my apartment while I was making a sandwich.

Serious ibby-jibbies.

My wife woke up from a nap with me peeking my head out of the bathroom under a rubber poncho with a drawn hood while banging two metal pot lids like a pair of symbols.

I looked all the more like an idiot as she was not concerned in the least about the fiend. "They're cute" she says.

Not a high moment for me there.

Got a 3.9 GPA this semester!!! So far so good in terms of maintaining my grades for medical school. Only a semester and a half left of undergrad. Time flies by so fast...

When I was in school, each year went by faster and faster. I thought
it would change some once I was outta school. But the same thing happens
through life from what I've seen now at the age of 52.

which Asian country did you say you live in, Hoopalotta? What do you do for a living? Is your wife a native of your locale?

Hey Lupin,

I live in Vietnam now, though I previously lived in Thailand for a good while. I work as a teacher/tutor consultant kind of thing for schools and businesses working with them on assorted subjects and or goals (could be straight teaching in a school or it could be 'how not to piss off foreign customers" for a business). I suppose it all comes back to teaching Engrish and etiquette (in fact I have been out here long enough that my own native language is becoming Engrish).

I originally came out here for business though.

And my wife is Vietnamese, yes. Though she's not really very Vietnamese from a cultural perspective (she took a facebook 'how Vietnamese are you culturally?' quiz and scored a 'zero/get the hell out of here' result).

As to the bats, I live smack dab downtown in Saigon and they just thrive down here. I used to watch squadrons of them from my roof top make war upon the dragonflies that would come out at dusk.

I just spent 30 minutes or so writing a story about my broken ankle and somewhere along the way realgm logged me out so when I pressed post it had me re-log in and tada post is gone. I feel like crying. Outline of the store broke the talus in July and destroyed all the soft tissue in my ankle and still just back to jogging in small bursts.... Sigh don't know what is more depressing the ankle or writing about it and losing the post.

what are the allowed dimensions for signatures? and why the hell can it not figure out the size of the image, aaahh

Trouble is, it will get scrunched with a resize as the proportions are off the usual.

I think the limit is 450 Pixels long by 90 pixels high. Or something

Ugh this situation is all too familiar...

USA Today - Chris Henry is fighting for his life after on Wednesday night after sustaining injuries in a auto accident in Charlotte, according to his agent.

My thoughts and prayers are with Chris and his family (which includes three children). Hopefully he's able to pull through this and live a long healthy life.

Edit- He's passed. RIP Chris.

Give Sean a good challenge upstairs! Send out a prayer for his family, I know I will.

Like the gif, but the large, bright red, bolded letters are too much. It distracts from the image. It also makes entire threads almost unreadable.
