So Nene couldn't 'turn the other cheek' huh? Figures...

I don't see how that warrants a suspension.

If the leagues doesn't suspend you for throwing a flying elbow to the throat of Lebron, I think Nene is okay.

Who is tired of Lebron in the NBA League Office? I still cannot believe they let Mason Plumlee reject Lebron's shot without a goaltending in Miami.

A bit of home cooking: Wizards vs Bulls Game 3 Thread

Now we have a little breathing room still up a game and staying at home for Game 4. Make some adjustments on defense so they cannot score, come out and win that game and it's pretty much over.
Game 4 could be tough if we don't have Nene but I still think we can win that game if we just. play. d. We can still outscore the Bulls without Nene, we just have to make stops. If Dunleavy has 25 instead of 35, this is a different game.

I would totally have been saying this...if Nene hadn't gotten ejected like he did. Even if he'd gotten tossed on a flagrant two for body slamming Noah while defending the rim, something within the flow of the game, I'd be more optimistic. But this was so egregiously ridiculous that I'm not sure what impact it has.

How do you respond when the guy who is supposed be a veteran leader, and who led you to wins in the first two games, just goes mental for no reason? Not to mention that the whole organization will have to answer questions about it for the next almost 48 hours.

I did like the Wall/Beal didn't give up, but I think this puts ALL the pressure on them to carry the team on Sunday whether Nene plays or not. Let's see how they respond.

I think overconfidence and iso ball played parts. Missed FTs did hurt. And no key rebounds down the stretch.

Gooden should be getting a lot more time.

Certainly hoping Gooden gets a lot more of Bookers minutes, Trevor is just awful.

DJ had 25 last game and I didnt that that was horrible D either. He just made some tough shots. Pull up J's at the 3pt line on the move with the defender trailing hard. Thats hard to stop

Not to mention running off all those screens can tire him out.

But again...at the end of the day...

You're letting the Dunleavy's, Butlers, DJ Augustine's of the world beat you in a HOME PLAYOFF GAME....

Thats just tough to see....its one thing if Bulls have momentum going into this game....but they could have been ready for the sweep if the Wiz took care of business down the stretch.

Three hard fought games so far, we've managed to win 2 of them. I love how we're competing, meeting the Bulls' force without backing down. We made some mistakes at the end of this one, but so long as we keep playing this hard I like our chances. Not time to point fingers, and definitely NOT #sowizards.
Making extreme statements like "only" sounds like there are "no" Jokics in this draft? Jokic is an engine that was drafted in the 2nd round. Always a chance to see diamond dropped by sloppy burgular after a theft.

I wouldn't put it past Dunleavy to have another good game. He won't get 35 again probably but he's had some moments in the series where he looked good. I'm probably more worried about Augustin doing better next game though.

Okay, I brought home work from the office. May as well get started.

Just let me sign off with the immortal words of JWiz:

**** THIS ****

See ya, peeps. Let's get game 4 on Sunday.

Go Wizards!

I still say there was no reason for Booker to reach. Whether there was contact or not, the ref had the opportunity to make that call because Booker reached. They had Butler completely walled off, just keep your hands straight up and force him to travel or make a bad pass. If you reach, you take your chances with the refs, and we got burned.

Whats up with Seph? Wasnt he playing well not to long ago? Booker makes too many costly mistakes.

Might be wrong of me to say, but he fits with the Javale, Nick Young, Jordan Crawford Wiz squad of a couple years ago....not this years team.

Theres momentum has turned. If Nene is out for game 4 we are likely to lose. 3 game series with CHI HCA. #sowizards. Funny, Joe House and BS had a podcast today and House kind of called this. #sowizards collapse.

Anybody know what Butler said to Nene that set him off?

Exactly. That is what is driving me crazy about this series. Its one thing to lose to Lebron (which we all still remember I'm sure), but it is just horrible to have Dunleavy or DJ Augstine-type player be the reason.

Dunleavy was just as hot for stretches in the previous two games, Thibs just didn't leave him in. I think Dunleavy will continue to be a problem.

yeah, thats what i forgot to add but I was thinking that when I was watching it. I dont get it. Jimmy hasnt been going off in this series and DJ wasnt in the game so you didnt need to put TA on him. Why not just keep TA on MDJ? You making Beal run ragged on D and guarding a tall guy while also having to move non stop on O. Thats going to wear him out

They really make things rough on Gortat in the PnR

Yeah. I think they are locking in. I think you are right. You have to run new stuff at them and make them adjust.

But really, it came down to the Butler 3 and on that play, Beal run under the screen to give him that open look with the close running out. Just a really bad play by Beal.

Wizards could have still won that game even after all the crap that happened.

That's what I'm saying. And you can bet that Thibs will be leaving him in more now. He's going to be giving him plenty of opportunities.

I agree. Have to wonder though if the Wizards will get more benefit of the officiating.

I thought Noah could have been called for quite a few fouls in the 2nd quarter.

I hate the excuse that people want to watch the stars so they don't call fouls on them.
