Impressive finish by the Clippers. Without CP3 and after 7 games beating the champs.
Blake Griffin was great playing point PF and got the triple double again.

Most people don't understand that one game without a star doesn't mean loss.
God forbid if Wall got hurt, but the Wizards have personnel to get a win.
Blake Griffin and others won a game the Rockets were not prepared to play. Guys who wait for Chris Paul had more responsibility, more opportunity, more touches, more shots. Their defense was different. Blake facilitated. For that one game the troops rallied without their leader.
Griffin might be better without Paul. Blake is a superstar if given more to do.
Austin Rivers and Dad are probably really happy. How great it is to see a father rescue his son's career. My dad told me he was proud of me and encouraged me so much. He left me proud to be his son. If he believed in me I don't care how bad 2014 seemed to go. Austin Rivers had 17 points last night. Harden had 20 with 12 assists. Doc Rivers trading for his son and still paying Jordan Farmer isn't looking like nepotism now
I'll confess that I have always disliked Austin Rivers' hype. Never thought he'd be a good player in the NBA. (Same thing as I thought about Harrison Barnes). This morning, I am happy for Austin Rivers (and for Harrison Barnes).

Rivers has actually played very well in the playoff games I've watched.
Josh Smith otoh... is a complete mess. I would never play him in the 4th quarter of a close game. He cries so much to the officials when they make correct calls against him that when they do make bad calls against him, it's hard to take him seriously. But its his decision-making in close games that's the problem. He forced a couple of 3's that had no chance and just seemed to be in perpetual panic/whining mode. This is nothing new with him. And it's not like he was shutting down Blake Griffin on the defensive end. They have better options - even with Motiejunas out.

Ruz, against Dallas Josh Smith looked like prime Magic Johnson one fourth quarter. He had at least 6 assists in the fourth. He had dunks. Hit threes. Josh Smith was terrific last round.
Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan might have a lot to do with Josh Smith yesterday.

Says more about Houston IMO. No reason to think they win this series IMO.

#FireGrunfeld cause he thought Mike Miller/Randy Foye could help us but not Stephen Curry.

Re: NBA Games Discussion Thread - Part 3
McHale and Harden are to blame for these struggles. McHale since being in Houston has not really run any sort of organized, pro-style motion offense, not even horns.
This leads to ballhogging players like Harden and Smith, and when teams key in, because of the fact that they don't really run a real offense, they don't have plays ingrained that are designed to let them impact the game in other ways. Harden only can affect the game offensively by either scoring and passing to cutters, which almost are never cutting because they don't run a disciplined offense.
They tried to play through Dwight but quickly discovered that they couldn't because Blake + DJ are superior in every way to him. Their only real hope is to play good defense and hope that Brewer, Ariza and Terry can step up because Harden and Howard will continue to struggle in postseason play

Jimmy Butler plays LeBron the best out of any wing out there.

This is a good game (Chi vs Cle). Tied with 3 seconds left.
The Cavaliers have got to have the biggest collection of guys who just hate all in one place. Lebron is about the most likable guy on their team. Think about THAT for a bit.
Go Bulls.

1st I just want these 2 teams to beat each other up for as long as possible just
in case we do get past ATL or for ATL's sake for that matter. Rather see them
than either the LeTravel's or Noah's screechy mouth. That said, CLE did not
deserve to win the way the refs let LeTravel get away with pretty much
anything without getting called.

Lol
James Harden has played no defense in this series
He's getting cooked by Austin Rivers

Agreed.
I was happy to see the shot go in. Derrick Rose has been through a lot.

Redick murked Houston. There was a lot of skepticism about how he would do in the pros when he was drafted. This year he scored 16 ppg with a TS of 62%. Pretty strong.
