Just a general question. So what do you think Of Trump as right now, has he done a good job, give me a grade. Save to say that expectations were negative even.

I think everybody thought this was just a big joke and when he got into office he'd start acting human. He has performed way lower than our expectations. This presidency has been an enormous failure for both sides from the first day he entered the office. He singlehandedly sabotaged the Obamacare repeal and, due to a year of failure, forced the Republicans into passing an abysmally unpopular tax bill to satisfy their billionaire masters, which will have massive consequences in the 2018 election. The Republicans thought they had gerrymandered the Senate to be Democrat-proof but Trump managed to screw even that up. Just a disastrous performance from the Republican side all around.

Law and order loving Republicans have got to be cringing at the undermining of the Rule of Law under Trump and no true patriot can be happy at Trump's attacks on the free press. Anyone who has read 1984 has got to be extremely unhappy with the Trump administration's mistreatment of the truth.

Dems of course are furious that Trump presided over the stealing of the supreme court replacement for Scalia. That was an unforgiveable sin. The country will be feeling that consequences of that cowardly crime for generations. Can't wait for the impeachment proceedings to start. Trump will be behind bars before 2019 ends, if he doesn't die of Alzheimer's first.

A minus. No bullshxt.

The only thing that has stopped this from being am A plus is Hillary and Obama and lynch mccabe comey holder yates n others are not behind bars yet.

I kid. But seriously. This man is going to go down as goat president of the modern era.

No body has perhaps ever entered office with this much immovable political capital. Which gives him tremendous freedom to put deals together and force the GOP ( his own party kind of) to bend to his will.

This is the single greatest thing that could have happened to this country. We're going to fix a lot of stuff.

Taking someone from Reality TV and making them President has proven to be one of the biggest disasters the world has ever seen. The current administration will probably go down as the most corrupt in U.S history if it lasts a full 4-year term. Robert Mueller will bring the "Adult Day Care" to a close in 2018. Grade F

SD20, I know you don't understand why so much of the country dislikes Trump.

Well things like this don't help....and it's a pattern with him too.

President Trump grew frustrated with lawmakers Thursday in the Oval Office when they floated restoring protections for immigrants from Haiti, El Salvador and African countries as part of a bipartisan immigration deal, according to two people briefed on the meeting.

“Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?” Trump said, according to these people, referring to African countries and Haiti. He then suggested that the United States should instead bring more people from countries like Norway, whose prime minister he met Wednesday.

The comments left lawmakers taken aback, according to people familiar with their reactions. Sens. Lindsey O. Graham (R-S.C.) and Richard J. Durbin (D-Ill.) proposed cutting the visa lottery program by 50 percent and prioritizing countries already in the system, a White House official said.

WASHINGTON — President Trump on Wednesday balked at an immigration deal that would include protections for people from Haiti and African countries, demanding to know at a White House meeting why he should accept immigrants from “shithole countries” rather than people from places like Norway, according to people with direct knowledge of the conversation.

Mr. Trump’s remarks left members of Congress attending the meeting in the Cabinet Room alarmed and mystified. They were there discussing an emerging bipartisan deal to give legal status to immigrants illegally brought to the United States as children, the people said, speaking on condition of anonymity without authorization to discuss the explosive proceedings of the private meeting.

When Mr. Trump heard that Haitians were among those who would benefit, he asked if they could be left out of the plan, according to the people familiar with the conversation, asking, “Why do we want people from Haiti here?”

The comments were reminiscent of ones the president made last year in an Oval Office meeting with Cabinet officials and administration aides, where he complained about admitting Haitians to the country, complaining that they all had AIDS, as well as Nigerians, who he said would never go back to their “huts,” according to officials who heard the statements in person or were briefed on the remarks by people who did. The White House vehemently denied last month that Mr. Trump made those remarks.

And you wonder why white supremacist love this administration.

Sorry SD20. That's YOUR president. Not mine. I don't **** with him.

Trump is a disaster, & he's a danger to American democracy. The idea that he's benefited the economy is idiotic.

These people are mind numbingly stupid. If **** like this doesn't galvanize Democrats to show up in 2018 and 2020 then just cede the country to Republicans for the next couple decades.

It's interesting that we were having this discussion about racism in the Republican party and in the past couple of days we've had two examples, one from the President. Still both parties are the same. Oh and Hillary would have been just as bad

Thank you for posting this article. This also refutes the idea that pro immigration is for purely low skilled labor.

If he was mayor of some random city instead of President, Trump might be comic. Instead it is just scary and sad.

Where's the group photo of right-wing blow-hards from "talk radio" and Faux News?

Conservatives attack popular culture because they contribute so little to it, they have no Oprah or Bruce Springsteen. What's gonna happen when Clint Eastwood croaks, they got nothing.

What this tells me is conservatives have no sense of humor... If there was demand for conservative comedy it would be met by the entertainment market.

Whatever happened to Andrew Dice Clay anyway? We've had generations and generations of angry white guy humor. Didn't we have a whole "Married with Children" show for several years? And before that, "All in the Family" ran through the entirety of the seventies.

The entire history of comedy has been dominated by angry racist misogynist xenophobic white guys like Don Rickles. It's been done to death. It's not funny anymore.

Worse than expected. I was strongly against him, but thought he might moderate.

He has not only had bad policies, but has also been ineffective.
