What should the Democrats be running on in your opinion?

First what not to do - demonize a class of citizens - Hillary and the deplorables jump to mind. Her latest is that women can't think and vote for themselves.

Second, don't have a bankrupt DNC screw up the election process.

That said, they will win in this next cycle. Trump sucks and they should play on that.

But when they do get control, they need to show that they can actually govern. They need to prioritize what will actually help America and not just weaponized specific issues to divide the country - which is their modus operandi.

What issues specifically do you think they use to divide the country?

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

So you are describing success and failure based on who won the election. I don't see it that way. Like I initially said, I don't think it was as successful in France, but France is still very clearly divided and has loads of issues today. Russia doesn't have to win every election. In fact, it's probably better for them that they don't. They just need to win some and divide populations wherever they go. And frankly, while Macron tended to get more educated voters, he tended to get richer, older voters while Le Pen attracted younger and poorer voters.

Educated citizenry? Sure. But even educated people aren't immune. I met loads of Russians who are extremely well educated who fall for their own propaganda. When things become so muddy that the truth is no longer clear, biases take over, and those biases can be surpassed if the alternative is sufficiently problematic. It isn't nearly so simple as to classify Republicans as uneducated. There are loads of extremely intelligent and well-educated Republicans who just happen to be misguided on certain issues, or simply disillusioned with both parties. On the flipside, it isn't nearly so simple as to brand Democrats (or those who voted for Macron) as being well educated. On average? Perhaps, but it is far from a hard and fast rule. And in the Democrats' case, all the education in the world hasn't made them particularly effective. Obama had to drag them kicking and screaming on certain issues and covered up a lot of their issues with his ability to dream big politically and non-stop positive attitude combined with charisma. If the Democrats can't take decisive action when government inevitably swings back their way, at best they're the eye of the storm and nothing more.

State Department get ballsy in leadership vacuum!

State Dept. slams Russia's 'campaign of coercion and violence' in Crimea

The State Department condemned on Wednesday what it called Russia's "campaign of coercion and violence" in Crimea, just days before the four-year anniversary of Moscow annexing the disputed peninsula.

"Over the past four years, Russia has engaged in a campaign of coercion and violence, targeting anyone opposed to its attempted annexation," department spokeswoman Heather Nauert said in a statement.

"We stand behind those courageous individuals who continue to speak out about these abuses and we call on Russia to cease its attempts to quell fundamental freedoms of expression, peaceful assembly and association, and religion or belief."

Nauert's comments came after Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke at a rally in Crimea, where he reportedly hailed the annexation of the peninsula from Ukraine, proclaiming that "Crimea returned home."

The annexation of Crimea has been a sore spot in the relationship between Russia and Europe, which has grown increasingly tense in recent years. Putin's comments also came amid heightened tensions with the United Kingdom over the poisoning of a former Russian spy and his daughter on British soil with a military-grade nerve agent.[/quote]

Sessions must be close to being fired!
Transport Secretary Elaine Chao (Sessions wife) actually told most of the truth.
Chao confirms Trump pushing Ryan to withhold Gateway project funding

Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao on Tuesday confirmed that President Trump is pressing Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) to withhold funding for the multibillion-dollar Gateway rail project in the New York metro region.

“Is the president of the United States personally intervening with the Speaker to kill this project?” Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney (D-N.Y.) asked the secretary.

“Yes,” Chao replied. “The president is concerned about the viability of this project and the fact that New York and New Jersey have no skin in the game.”

In my another one bites the dust series Arizona 8th on April 24th. This is to fill disgraced GOP Representative Trent Franks in a district Trump won by 58% to 37% and Franks got 68.5% of the vote with Green Party 31.4% with no Democrat. It is located North & West of Phoenix Maricopa County, Arizona and has been redistricted.

Democratic Candidate
Dr. Hiral Tipirneni, an emergency room physician and cancer researcher who emigrated to the United States from India with her family when she was just three years old. As you might expect, she’s strong on issues like healthcare — she wants a public option for Medicare buy-in — and immigration, which is a hot point of contention in Arizona.

What’s nice is that, even in a red district, she’s even willing to take a stand on guns — even as the GOP spent all day mocking the students who walked out of their classrooms to protest the national epidemic of gun violence.

The young folks have it right - gun violence is a public health issue & must be treated as such. When I'm elected, I'll work to repeal the Dickey Amendment so the CDC can study firearm violence & allow evidence-based research to guide commonsense solutions. #NationalWalkoutDay

1:08 PM - Mar 14, 2018

Republican Candidate
Debbie Lesko is a Attorney and is straight out of Reptilian play book Border Wall, Pro Life, Anti Abortion on a positive note she is against violence against women as a victim herself. As a State Senator her major success seems to be Legislation for people to drive golf carts. ( She is a Trumpster type of woman).

This will be a tough race in a traditional Republican area after gerrymandering.Cook PVI 13.1 and District 74% White 3% Black 2% Asian 18% Hispanic 1% Native American

This is always a stupid and deceptive graphic, geographic territory is not a representation of number of voters or votes cast.

I don't think there is a more efficient way of self-identifying as a moron than posting that electoral map and claiming the whole country is red

It's too bad RT is getting held hostage by the actions of the Russian deep state. It's like holding PBS accountable for the actions of the CIA.

RT is a damn good source of actual news btw; much better and way more unbiased than our corporate owned bull fake news media here in the USA.

If you read the DNC platform it is about 1/2 truths - they have to somehow get away from that... IMO. Or we will just cycle back like we have been doing.

Seems like you have a list of things they shouldn't do? You're not gonna get much disagreement on things like "Hillary shouldn't alienate voters" and "the DNC shouldn't do bad stuff"

I'm asking for a list of policy items you think they should campaign on.

Further proof of how Trump is the opposite of being a proclaimed genius, he is actually dumb as rocks. Trump proclaimed to Russians visiting the WH that firing Comey "Relieved great pressure" Trump blurted "Russia if you're listening...." Trump has unprotected sex with a professional sex worker. Trump is a very very stupid man.

The Trumpster just dumped the Trump before Trump Candidate his wing man from PA18 race.
He invested 2 trips to the District and the Reptilians dumped almost $11 million on Saccone and lost a District Trump won by almost 20 points.

New unfactoid by the "Space Commander" the one and only Trumpster is Lamb won because Lamb is "Him". The Reptilians are so perplexed with this loss that they even love the dead spin by the Trumpster. As we know the gullible SD20 has already spouted some of these alternate factoids.

Saccone’s projected loss would add to a string of embarrassing Republican performances in special elections as the 2018 midterm primaries loom. Trump has distanced himself from previous GOP special election losers, including Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore, who was upset by Democrat Doug Jones.

Kushner 100 Million Real Estate Deal .... With Japanese Government Controlled Company.
Two months after President Donald Trump’s son-in-law joined the White House as a senior adviser, his family sold off a stake in a property they own in Brooklyn to a Japanese company whose major shareholder is the Japanese government.

According to an investigation by Bloomberg, the Kushner family made the $103 million dollar deal with Normandy Real Estate Partners, a New Jersey-based investment firm, however documents filed in Japan show that the company was representing a subsidiary of Nippon Telegraph & Telephone Corp. As noted by the report NTT’s largest shareholder is the government which owns one third of the concern.

The Brooklyn transaction represented a premium of more than 60 percent on a price-per-square-foot basis over what Kushner Cos. and its partners paid four years earlier, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. [...]

Still Vacant
Meanwhile, the property, connected to one of the Kushner-owned buildings by a pedestrian walkway, remains vacant. [...]

All involved deny any political component to the deal or involvement by Jared Kushner.

The Trumps and the Abes in Palm Beach, Florida on Feb. 10, 2017.
Was the $103 Million dollar Kushner deal, all part of the Japanese Prime Minister’s whirlwind tour, to win over the good favor of the new Administration? Before U.S. President Donald Trump took office on Jan. 20 last year, Japanese officials were anxious, even obsessed, with a nightmare scenario that could not be ruled out — an incoming American leader who could shake up the balance of power in the Asia-Pacific region and vastly damage domestic interests.

[...]

All praised [Shinzo] Abe for his strong management of Japan’s relationship with the “unpredictable” Trump over the past year and said his risky gamble to embrace him so far appears to have paid off.

“Prime Minister Abe took great risks approaching Trump and managed to tame the monster,” said Kazuhiro Maeshima, professor of international relations at Sophia University in Tokyo. [...]
