Knew it. Ernie wasn't planning for Noel dropping.

Calm down people. Last thing we need is a big man with injury issues.

Well, to me - Noel was clearly and demonstrably the pick to make, but you can't call it a bad night when you get Otto Porter. It could have been a better night, but it's still a good night.

I personally would've swung for it with Noel there, but Porter's been my favorite since I've been assuming Noel would be off the board, so no complaints from me.

I can live with this pick.

This is a mistake that can haunt teams for years. Noel is so much of a better prospect. You never pass on defensive bigs.

I love the Porter comps to players that never had any business going higher than 15th overall while we pass on Noel. Genius. He better be as good as his boosters, and Pelton have argued. If he is as limited as he looks athletically, this is one of the most foolish picks we've made in a long time, and that's saying something (Vesely stupidity exempted)

Jay Bilas of ESPN called Porter "the most complete player in this draft" and "the most complete player at both ends of the floor."

I agree, great pick! Noel can't even score or stay healthy. It's not like we passed on Hakeem

Remember when this was a two player class a month ago? And those two players were Noel and McLemore? Good lord this was a crazy draft.

It's not like this is the end of the world but EG is going to look awfully foolish if Noel turns into what his potential dictates.

I wanted Noel, but his knee must be in very bad shape for him to drop this low.

Otto Porter is good, ready to play, and healthy. It's a good, safe pick. I was expecting Len, but maybe his injury scared them off as well.

I don't know, it's really a medical situation for me that I'm not able to offer an informed opinion on.

But, "medical issues" would have to be the meat of our decision here for it to be defendable.
