tbf if SGA did that, he would have gotten 3 shots, the knicks coach ejected, and Scott Foster would have come out and shined his shoes for him

Even with that Poole had 26 points on 14 shots. Still, the last play was terrible.

Re: NBA Games Discussion Thread - Part 6
Yeah its pretty bleak in Sacramento. Their best players are Sabonis and maybe Derozan? Derozan gotta be pushing 40 now. Probably already started waking up in the middle of the night to pee.
I saw both Jokic and Valanciunus are out in Denver. Trade them Bagley? Would they give a first rounder for a rental? Probably not. Send them Vuk too and then maybe, if they can also dump a bad contract? Anthony Gill rides out the season as backup center here I guess and the tank rolls on.
Bad night last night as far as lotto rankings. Both Utah and the Nets lost, and we play the Nets tonight. Either the Nets will be gassed or they will be looking to get back in the winning column. We need Midds to really buckle down and not care extra hard on defense, especially against Porter.

Worst of the worst. They may not have traded away all their picks like other poorly run teams, but they just...miss.
Their last 4 1st round picks (3 in the lotto) were all considered low ceiling, high floor type picks...and they still missed. Davion Mitchell, Keegan Murray, Devin Carter, and Clifford were all 22-23 and it was assumed that while none would make an AS team, all profiled as rotational players on good teams.
Esshhh.

It's so depressing watching them. In 2022-23, they were so exciting and I stayed up watching them on League Pass.

Funny that they had Fox and Haliburton and got rid of both. Haliburton led a team to the finals and Fox is showing out for the Spurs.

VJ Edge was making a lot of outstanding plays last
night but the 6ers lost in OT to one of most depleted
teams I've seen in a while (Denver) missing all their
starting 5. Having been interested in VJ I'm curious
how he does, compared to Tre. It'll be fun to see over
time how their respective careers go. Of course with
PHL being luckier than we were, it's not a case of us
taking the 'wrong' guy no matter how it works out.

Speaking of Denver, look at last nights box score, they beat Philly with late picks and 2nd rounders, 6 players in double figures.

Which team does that say more about?
It's true Philly wasn't at full strength either although
both Embiid and Maxey and PG all played, in addition
to VJ.

Wizards have the same record as the Thunder in the last 11 - 6-5.

Why can't the Pelicans win any freaking games despite starting Zion, Trey Murphy III and Herbert Jones, all good players who are currently in their prime and healthy?

Maybe it's because they are starting two rookies that can't defend or play off the ball.

This is an example of the expectations Dawkins has
created ie, what he could potentially do with late
picks and 2nd rounders.
