Here's the warrant and receipt of goods seized:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2022/08/12/trump-warrant-release/

Lots of docs that are marked top secret and secret. If they've been declassified, there's no physical evidence of it. And HE CAN'T DECLASSIFY THINGS NOW. AND BIDEN COULD JUST RECLASSIFY THEM.

You really can't just declare something unclassified, or decide it is without telling anyone. You have to actually mark it as declassified, so people know if it is illegal to look at it etc. Otherwise what is the point of labeling something Top Secret? Or labelling anything?

Fully plausible that Trump thought he could just declassify things by tweeting EVERYTHING I WANT TO BE DECLASSSIFIED IS HEREBY DECLASSIFIED>. Or even simply by deciding in his purported mind that they are, and not telling anybody. Really somehow we allowed the country to elect Michael Scott as our commander in chief:

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

It's one of those situations that you never had to worry about because you assumed no President would be stupid enough to do something like that.

So yeah, currently the law is the President can telepathically declassify things without relabeling them. Which is impractical, but labelling is a courtesy service the POTUS provides. It's not legally required. Because it never occurred to anyone a POTUS would... do... this :waves around:

I have read that a law passed in 1956 dictates the process for declassifying nuclear documents, and under that law, the president cannot unilaterally declassify such documents. I wonder if there are any other laws covering presidential declassification procedures. Also wonder if these laws could be challenged as unconstitutional.

Trump’s success was part daddy’s money and connections, part psychotic chutzpah, and part just “Being There.” Their is also aided by a big dose of willful ignorance. I didn’t know I couldn’t take that. I didn’t know I had to pay those employees. I didn’t know I couldn’t grab that woman’s p***y. Etc.

If Trump “declassified” documents for the purpose of providing them to a foreign power, that’s treason. But if he provided to a foreign private company (or any private company), well that’s probably yet another fuzzy area of law that Trump is exploiting to his own advantage, like the two-bit chiseler that he is.

Yes nuclear secrets are different (I posted that earlier)

Can you believe that people thought that this grifter was ever part of the left? Quite the heel turn but I always knew her game.

At the 20 minute mark, David Dayen explains the bill really well with Sam Seder here. Recommend you guys listen.

Specifically, the bill outlines $3.1 billion to help “distressed borrowers of direct or guaranteed loans administered by the Farm Service Agency,” and $2.2 billion for a program to provide assistance for farmers that experienced discrimination in Department of Agriculture (USDA) farm lending programs prior to January 2021.

The Democrats didn't have a much of a choice but to re-write the program..

Greenwald, Brianna Joy, there’s a bunch of grifters that pose as left wing yet they co-opt ring wing talking points. And it’s no wonder that posters like TGW believe a bunch of bull when all he does is mainline these social media grifters. This Twitter post never misses:

I’m sorry but the stupidest thing I’m seeing from the online left is trying to give legitimacy to the right wing defund the FBI bull. Do you think people who were cheering the FBI investigating Hillary really want to defund it?

Everything you posted Zonks is true and that has nothing to do with the legitimate work of the FBI searching Mar Al Largo. The left wing reactionary Twitter needs to sit this out.
