I'll take it, but there will be games when he has to be willing to stroke that ball and not make the extra pass.
JW is improving though...coming along.

Wow at the JDub criticism. He balled tonight. The J wasn't falling but he played a great game IMO.

Ya Walls floor game was impressive. If I had to nitpick I would say this: I wish he would attack the rim when his shot fails him. Dude had 2 fta before the Pacers started to intentionally fouling. Whenever the wiz go into scoring droughts, it always seems like Walls first move is a pull up long 2.

I agree with this, but he still young, learning, and clearly capable of learning and evolving his game. His turnovers way down, his control of the game much improved, his use of varying speeds rather than full on all the time, his maintaining his dribble, his improved 3 point shooting. I have a lot of confidence that he will learn when and how to reincorporate a more controlled attack (with fewer charging fouls and better finishes) and will cut down on the long twos.

That said, the Wizards can't get complacent. They're not going to shoot 10-16 from 3-point range every night.

There were stretches where we let off on the defense. If we plan to make it past the Pacers, we have to have very few times where we stop playing defense. If they dont let off, then they could get away/win with a 5/16 from 3-point land type of game.

We didn't play our best game by far and still won with ease. I do think we'll get a much more desperate Pacers team in Game 2. They had be a little emotionally and physically spent after a tough 7-game series. We might not shoot 10-of-16 from 3 or outrebound them 53-36. They might not shoot 8 of 17 from 3pt and we hopefully won't turn it over 15+ times.

Anyone else see Hibbert yell "YESSS!!" on his jump shot attempt as the ball dipped in then rimmed out? Poor guy was about to make Gortat eat crow.

How can this prevent these awful 0-13 ruts that we keep getting in

Gortat has to make more easy baskets inside, missed a lot tonight
John has to find a way to drive to the basket for an easy layup when the teams needs it
Better bench play

Wizard played **** on offebse in the mid range.next game wall has to get a 23 pts 10 asst type game. He needa to get agressive in the rim again.

I see ua winning thia series if we beat them next game I bet we sweep them. This game they had no energy till fouls came along.

 That's literally all I was saying. People calling it "bashing".. no I'm simply pointing out an area of improvement that would help the team a lot.

He has to understand the importance of being aggressive. We have a lot of shooters, but his aggressiveness in the half court is what will really make this team dangerous.

Its like KingoVA said though. He's gotta attack. Hibbert is scared and lost the respect from the Refs.

To me..

The pressure is on Paul George next game. He's going to (try at least) take over the game and want to be the best player on the floor. It happens in every series. There comes a time when the star player will have to "win you one"

The question is....does Beal or Wall have one of those games that outdo his efforts. Cant expect Ariza to score 20+ every game AND shut down George for this series.

That's why I think this won't be a sweep and will probably take 6 games to win it. George will have a big game at some point, as will Lance probably. David West too.

At some point during the series, Drew Gooden is going to irritate West into a bad flagrant, potentially a flagrant 2.
