CCJ, the game turned when Chris Singleton got in D-Wade's face when D-Wade deliberetly elbowed Chris in the Head while Chris was down. Chris showed some Trevor Booker level passion out there.

Ves 11 rebounds in 23 min and a pretty ballzy take in crunch time that he put off the glass as it bounced in.

Martell Webster 8-12 23 pts in 24 mins. Not bad young man. I really like that they added him. He adds something they haven't had in a while. And I can see him being effective starting or coming off the bench. Great find.

Chris Singleton with a nice game. 7-11 7 rebounds 3 steals in 27 minutes and a nasty power dunk.

Good to see some on these pieces stepping up.

There are clearly still big questions but I'll take the win. Good for momentum going into the season.

Thanks, mhd. I didn't see this game and am pleased to read that. Wade IMO is the dirtiest backcourt player in the game. Last playoffs he got away with at least a couple flagrant fouls, one should have been a flagrant 2.

Wade is the one NBA player I truly do not like. Good for Chris Singleton!

Maybe he'll write a book about "how to be a good father while being a dirty player"

A lot of you are being sarcastic about the win. This is so good for are players not only we won the game we beat the world champs with there main guys playing heavy min's. This is what we needed a huge confidence booster for us. Surprised no one said this yet but we have Miami heat number now :)

Why isn't Grant Long's jersey hanging from the rafters?

This x1000

I remember watching most of the games last year and Singleton was so helpful and mild-mannered on the court, it was great to see Chris get stirred up like that!

Maybe a confidence booster for Wiz but nobody on the Heat who matters really cared for more than a half. When we had our starters in at the beginning of the game, they were having our way with us. Anytime they wanted to pressure our point guards, we were in trouble and they did just a handful of times. I'm not going to celebrate a preseason win that saw Brian Cook and Cartier Martin on the floor late in the game with Shelvin Mack.

I'll take it.

And Mack too, making his case in only a few minutes.
MikeTheKid wrote:Ariza please GO! Randolph and Barron GO!

Is Gray still on the roster? He'll have to go too, and he didn't even get a look, did he? That leaves one more cut, right? The thirteen that played tonight, and Wall, KS, and Nene. One of Pargo, Mack, Martin, Cook? Pargo's my choice, but because of his shooting, I don't think they will.

The main thing I got from tonight is that we can be a better team with Crawford and Ariza (0-for-6) on the bench. If you want to bring in Ariza in for defensive purposes, fine. He has yet to even compete this preseason. I wonder if Witt was sending a message to Craw or just giving Cartier some time. Even though we missed 10 shots or whatever it was in a row in that sequence, all were open shots. Don't think we took a bad shot in the second half save maybe for Martell's 360 attempt.

For once, 80s, I'm going to hold my words. I have a very strong opinion against Wade, but I think I shouldn't judge his situation. I've gone through custody issues and spent a lot of time and money in family court.

I will just say he's my least favorite player and leave it at that.

Can we run Webster at the 2 at times when Beal is out? Beal/Webster at 2 with Singleton earning more burn time could help, kinda like:

2: Beal(28)/Webster(16)/Martin(4)
3: Webster(16)/Singleton(16)/Booker(8)/Martin(8)

Of course to note I'm doing this without Ariza and Crawford in the lineup

Just a hypothetical thought, possibly if we play a big lineup or find time for Booker if Ves is getting mins and Nene is healthy!
