Wallstar, Beal, Nene, the Polish Hammer and Ariza put the beat in beat down- shocked. Loved the way wall played within himself and didn't go all Westbrook and try to get his- (he has matured). Beal and Ariza took turns destroying the pacers. nene and gortat played big! I must be dreaming?!?! :o :D

Teamwork?

I'm glad the trade worked out for both sides.

Didnt get to see the game but what I did see from Wall was great but his shot again was off. Again, this is not a playoff thing. He shot like this the last 5 games of the season. Its an 11 game funk. Its funny because opposing fans act like this is how Wall always shoots but he was shooting solidly to very well until those last 5 games but I wish he could find that part again. If he does then we will be lights out. Thats 11 straight games of pretty much bad shooting. Even the game he shot solid was only because of a good 1st quarter or first half but other then that he's either missing all game or all 2nd half. Maybe he's pressing or his mechanics got off kilter for a sec

You don't have a +/- of +19 playing against mostly starters + Scola the whole game if you played awful.

How good was my boy Beal though? He dominated the second half. Straight up dominated.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

It's not about individuals on wiz- they have had different leading scorers all games and different players have got hot at different times of the game. Teams cant plan for random wiz getting hot! I am loosing my mind! :nonono:

Kinda agree with the hope that walls shot gets hot but honestly could care less as long as he continues to lead the team by facilitating on offense, play defense and make free throws - while we keep winnnnnnng. If you are a wiz fan you have to enjoy the ride.

I don't care if walls shot off while we winning because he does a million other things right - if you care more about your point guard being a great shooter you could have gone fishin with curry while the wiz fight on with wall! Go wiz!!!! And enjoy the ride - how long has it been???

Yeah, he sucks. :banghead:

I agree. This Wall bashing is ridiculous.

He is a point guard. Teams with scoring point guards rarely win championships.

He's getting everyone involved, playing good defense and pushing the pace. He's doing his job and then some.

Just look at the LAC vs OKC boxscore. Westbrook had a great scoring performance... and 4 assist to go with 6 to's. His team loses. Then again, you have the prototype - Chris Paul - having the best shooting game of his life while still playing the role of the pure PG to a tee.

On the Gooden comments, he was a bit Rodmanesque with some of the things he was doing defensively. That could get inside West's head, or it could motivate West and teammates. At least Gooden is playing hard on defense. He's always been a great offensive rebounder, so I'm not surprised (credit Mikey Milbon) by that. The guy can play. He hasn't always played hard, but this role off the bench has him happy and motivated, so it's working out great.

I watched several of the postgame pressers -- Randy, Ariza, Vogel, George, Lane, Hibbert.

I cannot remember ever seeing a team so utterly despondent after going down 1-0. Not once did I hear "it's just one game; we'll be ready on Wednesday" for Vogel or any of the Indy players. They are emotionally fragile, if not broken.

If the Wiz can take care of business on Wednesday, I think this series is done -- and no, I can't believe I am saying this.

Edit: Here's Vogel. Does this guy believe his team has a chance?

During the regular season turnovers were a major problem for Wall. During the playoffs he has cut his turnovers down drastically in spite of the fact that he is playing against the best 2 defenses in the league. He is clearly focused on taking better care of the ball.

But the love affair with long 2s continues. Last night he was 2-9 on long 2s, same as Beal. When your starting backcourt takes 18 long 2s that is a problem. Winning the game does not excuse terrible shot selection. Fortunately the team dominated the game in other areas allowing them to win.

Chris Paul and Redick took a combined 6 long 2s last night. Westbrook took only 4. Durant took 7 but only 1 was over 15 feet. He made 5.

Are the Bobcats saying "this could be us" still or nah?

BTW, I like how Wall is playing. He isn't having these 20 point games, but then again, he doesn't have to. His shooting can get better for sure, should probably drive to the hoop more often, but overall I've been very satisfied with the way he's played. Bulls and Pacers are pretty much zeroing in on him, and I'm sure he was a huge part of their gameplan. So kudos to Wall for making Beal, Ariza, etc all have a great playoff run.

No. He had a strong season and a great first round. Against the Hawks he averaged 23/10 with 5 assists with good shooting.

But he got bitched by Ariza last night. :D
